Winter 2014 FabFitFun
Winter 2014 FabFitFun

My Winter 2014 fabfitfun arrived yesterday!  I should have really taken have taken a picture of all the boxes I had spread around the kitchen yesterday that I was taking pictures of.  It was a bit crazy (and messy) here!

If you aren’t familiar, fabfitfun is a quarterly monthly subscription box that includes hand-selected items (the “hottest of the season”) in beauty, fashion, fitness, and wellness from the fabfitfun team. fabfitfun is $49.99/quarter and beginning with their Summer 2014 box, they ship to Canada!

The Box

fabfitfun ships via FedEx Smart Post and took just four days to arrive to me.  I must say, FedEs Smart Post has been hustling this month! I love it!

This box was super heavy!  Although I knew what was in it, I was still surprised at how heavy it was.

The Information Card

The Winter 2014 fabfitfun box included the following:

~Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel Sensitive ($39): I have gotten samples of this in boxes in the past, but I never got around to buying a full-size of it.  It works well and I am betting it’s going to work even better now that I will use it on a regular basis.  Every time I open a jar of this I am surprised that it’s not thicker though.  No reason why this should be thicker, it’s just what I think.

~HALF UNITED Fighting Hunger Necklace ($34): I love what this necklace stands for, but I am bot sure how often I will wear it.  Someone did suggest using it as a keychain which I might end up doing!  HALF UNITED gives half of all of the profits from their products to feed children in need and the bullet casings represent that fight, so I do get it.

~Zumba 60-min DVD “Max” and $25 Gift Card ($55): I have never done / taken Zumba, but I everyone who has tried it does seem to love it, so there must be something there.  I will give the DVD a go and I spent my gift card (on hair ties and socks) last night! There are tons of items under $25 to pick from and shipping is free!

~Passport to Beauty Tibetan Goji Berry Intense Anti-Aging Eye Serum with Retinol ($88): Well I cannot wait to see how this works.  It’s quite expensive so it’s not something I would ever randomly buy on my own to try, but if this secret goji berry concoction makes me look 24 again, I’ll buy another bottle!

~Daniel Stone COCO Candle (White Tea Ginger Root) ($42): I don’t know how many different scents fabfitfun sent out of this candle, but I love the one I received.  It’s a lighter scent (in comparison to the candle that arrived in the PopSugar Holiday Box anyway) and it’s made from natural coconut wax!  I didn’t know this, but I guess coconut wax gives you the cleanest burn available!

~yourMinerals Eye Shimmer in Swedish Winter (White) and Glistening Grey ($44): I have tried (and liked) these shadows in the past.  They are shimmery so they will be nice for the holidays and beyond.

~3-Month Membership to SaltedTV.com ($29.97): I forgot to take a picture of the card, but Salted TV is like the Netflix for cooking I guess?  I don’t do much (any) cooking, so I’ll see if B wants to check it out,

~LATHER AHA Hand Creme with Evening Primrose ($18): I never think of hand creme coming in a jar, but if it works I’m okay with it.  My hands aren’t too roughed up right now so I guess the real test will be in a month or so!

~$30 Fashion Project gift card ($30): The Fashion Project sells pore-loved designer clothing and accessories and a donates a portion of the proceeds of each sale to charity.  I haven’t used my gift card yet, but I did some browsing last night and there is a ton of stuff you can get for under $30!

~Sponsored: Organic Valley Organic Balance Milk Protein Shake ($2.99): fabfitfun always has a few sponsored items in their box and this is one of them.  It’s best served cold which I didn’t realize until I went to open it today, so in the fridge it goes.

~Sponsored: Justin’s Class Almond Butter ($.63): Love Justin’s Almond Butter!  It’s good stuff and comes in very handy if you stash it in your bag for an emergency!

~Sponsored: Special K Snack Bars ($2.62): This is my first time trying this flavor and I am planning on picking up more at the grocery store today.

All totaled (including the gift cards), I came up with a value of $383.59 for the Winter 2014 fabfitfun box!  Of course, I wouldn’t have paid that on my own for this box, but $49.99?  Well, yes, I will happily pay that (and I did)!  Between the candle, the eye serum and the Juice Beauty I MORE than got my money’s worth.  Everything else was just a bonus!
