January 2015 Citrus Lane

I did a review on my January 2015 Citrus Lane for a 2.5 year-old boy yesterday and today I am sharing my review for my second box, which is for a 4.5 year-old boy.

If you aren’t familiar, Citrus Lane is a monthly subscription box for babies from 0 to 5 years old which contains four or more products selected especially for the age and stage of your child. Citrus Lane is $29/month, but they always have great coupon codes that let you try them out very inexpensively!

The Box

Citrus Lane ships via FedEx Smart Post and took just under a week to arrive to me.

First Look

I knew right away I was going to like this box. It seemed at first glance to have a nice mixture of items for both boys to share.

The Information Card

The January 2015 Citrus Lane box includes the following goodies:

~Activity Placemats from Petit Collage ($12): These are coloring sheets / placemats for little ones.  The pages give little suggestions on what to draw based on the character on the page and I know both boys will like these.  WB has been into drawing lately and yesterday drew me a dinosaur.  He told me what it was, but I am sure I could have guessed on my own ;).

~Colored EcoPencils from Faber-Castell ($3.49): You can use these colored pencils to color the placemats in this box.  A fresh box of colored pencils probably excites me more than it excites L, but he does like to draw with them.

~Midi Basic Set from Plus Plus ($13.79): Hands down these are our favorite items in the box this month.  They are little block type things that you can use to build 3-D items like cars or houses or you can use them on a table like a puzzle.  I will be trading for more of these for the boys!

~Kids Complete Vitamins from Smarty Pants (~$1): These also came in yesterday’s box and again I will be giving them to L.

~60% Off Fabletics Offer: I believe that all boxes had the Fabletics offer in it this month.  The offer is for 60% off your first outfit which is great because their normal offer is 50% off your first outfit.

All totaled I came up with a value of $30.28 for the January 2015 Citrus Lane box.  The value is right around the full-price cost of the box, but since I have a longer subscription I pay well under $20/month for this.  Had I paid full priced I probably wouldn’t have been as happy with it as I am.  Like the 2.5 year-old box, everything in here is usable today and perfect for my boys. And I absolutely loved that they included an item from Plus Plus, which is a totally new brand to Citrus Lane (girls got GoldieBlox which are also new to CL) and I am hoping this is a trend for things to come! More new brands please Citrus Lane!

Did you get a Citrus Lane this month?  What age did you get and what came in your box?  If you are interested in subscribing, click here and use coupon code “BEMINE” to get 35% off your first box PLUS score a free Valentine’s Day Bonus Box (a $27 value)! This delay expires on 1.16.15, so make you you get signed up while it lasts. You will be enrolled in a monthly subscription (which you can always cancel if you are not happy), but it’s an amazing way to try them out!

my little man is the same age is WB but Ih him up because I felt that the stuff he was getting was too young for him he likes all his big brother stuff. We also got the ++ puzzles and both boys are obsessed with them and I need to purchase some more. And we got a really nice memory matching game that again they both love
