Ships To: United States.
Coupon Code: N/A.
B has been receiving Mantry pretty much since they started and always looks forward to getting his crates in the mail.
If you aren’t familiar with them, Mantry (aka the Modern Man’s Pantry) is a food of the month club that lets you discover the finest american artisan foods – and gives you ideas of what to do with them. It’s $75/month and has been around since the Fall of 2012.
Mantry typically ships via UPS Sure Post and takes only a few days to arrive. They bill on the 19th of the month and ship on the 21st of the month.
We still have every single one of our Mantry crates saved. We have some ideas for them, but none have actually happened yet. One day.
If you have been a Mantry subscriber for a while you will notice that they use a lot of the same brands in their crates. Of course, they use new ones too, but I could tell right away that we’d gotten a few of these things before.
The January 2015 Mantry theme was “Tailgate Tour” and included the following items for a proper game day feast:
~Owl’s Brew – The Classic ($9.99): We have received a few flavors of this in other subscription boxes (not Mantry), but never The Classic. B has made cocktails with them and they are good. They are the first tea made specifically for cocktails. Mantry suggests pairing this one with lemonade and vodka for an adult Arnold Palmer!
~Mike’s Hot Honey ($10): I just don’t know about hot honey. Mantry suggests it on pizza, but I just don’t know. We actually received this in a Fancy Food Box a year ago and I am not too sure whatever happened to that? B will probably end up taking this to work!
~Aurelia’s Chorizo Dry Cured Chorizo ($8.99): B loves getting this! It’s arrived in a few Mantry crates over the years and he puts it in his chili. Mantry is suggesting this in a cheese dip which sounds delicious too. Maybe he’ll do a little of both with this one?
~Bacon’s Heir Pork Clouds ($3.60): These are already gone. B ate them in about two minutes. He’s a fan for sure.
~La Esquina Smoky Black Bean Dip ($8.50): B opened this up and was like oh, that’s the company we got the best salsa ever from. How he remembers salsa we received two years ago, but asks me what time L gets out of school every time he picks him up I’ll never know, but he remembers it ;). We are saving this for the Super Bowl next weekend!
~Molly & Me Pecans ($9.33): These pecans have a dusting of cinnamon and then are given a little boost of chile pepper heat! It won’t be long before these are gone.
All totaled I came up with a value of $50.41 for the January 2015 Mantry crate, which is obviously less than the $75/month cost. I personally wish the value was higher or the monthly cost was less (maybe around $50/month), but B loves it regardless. He’s a fan of the experience itself, which is obviously a big part of this box.

I bet that honey would be excellent over a really sharp cheese.
That hot honey tastes Great on pizza- I was skeptical at first but now I love it
Okay, I will try it!
