Our February 2015 bluum box arrived yesterday. bluum is another box I am never sure what to expect from so I am always really excited to open it up.
If you aren’t familiar, bluum, is a monthly box of goodies for moms and babies. Products are hand selected based on your child’s age (from pregnancy to preschool), gender and developmental stage.
bluum ships via FedEx Smart Post and generally takes about a week to arrive. I generally plan on receiving it during the second half of the month. Sometimes it comes before Citrus Lane, sometimes after.
I loved this first look! I mean, I couldn’t see too much, but I liked what I saw.
The card included in the bluum box doesn’t include product information. Rather, that information is sent to you in a e-mail on the day that you receive your box (although I haven’t gotten anything on this one yet). WB’s February 2015 bluum box was for a 38 month-old (*) and included the following items:
~Creativity for Kids Animal Mania Mazes ($6.99): Creativity for Kids has a great product line and we’ll so use this maze book. I am going to stash it away for the next snow / cold day (which may actually end up being later on this week). I think it’s something both WB and L will enjoy.
~Peaceable Kingdom Make A Veggie Rockband ($6.99): Now these I just do not understand. They are stickers to decorate your vegetables. Hmm. I can see maybe decorating a pumpkin or even say apples with stickers, but not like tomatoes or anything. We’ll see about this. They are unique that’s for sure.
~My Sticker Vacation Book ($8.64): I have no idea when / where our next vacation is going to be, but I for sure bring this along. It’s got activities both boys will enjoy and some we can all do together!
~Goodbyn Snacks ($1.25) & Sticker Sheet ($2): I couldn’t believe when I looked up the price for the Goodbyn container online and saw that it was on sale for $1.25! That’s amazing. I love these and use them for L’s snacks for school all the time. The lids stay on perfect (as long as you get them snapped on correctly) and you can use the stickers to personalized your containers. Love!
~Goodkid Bars ($2): WB isn’t the best eater on the planet (that’s a giant understatement), but he likes bars like these. This is a new brand to me, but he seemed to like the lemon blueberry one we tried, so it’s a win!
All totaled I came up with a value of $27.87 for the February 2015 bluum box. It’s less than the cost of the box (if you do a month-to-month subscription), but in all fairness to bluum, I did use sale prices and didn’t include any shipping in my price calculations (I never do). I was really happy with this box. I feel like all the brands in it were fabulous and it works for both WB and for L!
