February 2015 Fair Treasure

FAIR Treasure, who kindly sent me this box to review, sends fair trade items such as jewelry, glass wear, pottery and paper goods, to your door each month. Their goal is to make it easier for everyone to explore the very best that Fair Trade products have to offer… and in turn, providing exposure and supporting the communities of people making these treasures.

First Look

I never know what I am going to get from FAIR Treasure.  They have sent items from just about every category I can think of.  I wasn’t too sure what anything was from the first look, but I had a few guesses.

The Information Card

The February 2015 FAIR Treasure box theme was “Love the One(s) You’re With” and aimed to equip you with the sparkle and shine you need whether you are staying in or going out.  Here is what was inside:

~Love Day Greeting Card ($4.99): Sanctuary Spring is a line of fair-trade greeting cards hand-crafted by women in the Philippines who have escaped prostitution.  The card is perfectly crafted and totally made me laugh when I saw it.

~Wisteria Earrings ($8): These earrings are made in India by women from the Delhi countryside who are looking for a better life.  I don’t know how often I will wear these because I don’t do dangly earrings, but they are very pretty.

~Hand-Woven Cotton Napkins: These napkins are a great size and I actually think I will end up using them more as small towels than napkins.  We don’t use cloth napkins, but tend to go thru a ton of little hand towels wiping things up.

I could’t find prices on all of these items, so I can’t do a cost breakdown on this box.  I liked the variety in this box, but I didn’t love it quite as much as I loved last month’s box (which had the gorgeous winter hat in it).
