February 2015 Little Lace Box Review
February 2015 Little Lace Box Review

Little Lace Box, who kindly sent me this box to review, is a subscription service that delivers hand-curated, nearly impossible-to-find designer products directly to your doorstep every month. Boxes will be brimming with high-end, brand name beauty, lifestyle, and home product samples to treat yourself to and dazzle your friends during your next night out.

Before I start my review I feel like I should mention a few things about this month’s box.  According to the information card, the February 2015 Little Lace Box was not as they had originally curated.  They had an assortment of problems with delayed items because of the snowstorm in the Northeast and the West Coast dock workers strike.  Because of these issues they had to substitute some items and make them fit with the theme.  So basically they know it’s not as amazing as it could have been.  I totally appreciate their honestly and I’ll get further into some of the changes they are making at the end of my review.  And as a side note, that port strike was no joke.  So many companies have been hurt because of it.  Try getting some plastic Easter eggs or Easter grass at Target.  Not happening till that backlog clears.

The Box

Little Lace Box ships via USPS Priority Mail and took three days to get to me. I was expecting it yesterday, but it didn’t arrive until today.

I was all over spoilers for this box, but there were variations so I didn’t know exactly what I would receive.  I didn’t have any make it or break it preferences, but I did have some preferences.

The Letter
The Information Card

The letters Little Lace Box includes with their boxes are awesome.  They explain the reasons behind their selections, discuss why they like them and give you unique and thoughtful suggestions and uses for the items. I always love to read their letters!

The February 2015 Little Lace Box theme was the “The Lovers, the Dreamers and Me” and included the following items:

~Whitley Earrings ($54.99): There were a lot of variations of these earring sent out, but I am thrilled with the ones I received.  They are very “me”.  Little Lace Box selected Whitley Designs for many reasons, but one of them was because they are handmade by sisters (Little Lace Box is made up of three sisters).  And they included studs because everyone needs a couple of “studs” in the middle of the winter.  LOL.

~CeeCee and Bee Tub Truffles ($21.99): I kind of wanted the Bath Bling that was sent out, but these are really cool too.  They smell amazing and melt away in the tub.  And again, CeeCee and Bee is another sister team!

~Beekman 1802 Orange Zest Goat Milk Hot Fudge ($12): Uhh, this is amazing! So delicious.  I heard everyone else raving about how good it is and they were so right.  You don’t even need to put it on ice-cream. Just eat it with a spoon.

~P. Press Papers Pink Arrow Note Cards ($12.99): Little Lace Box suggests using these to write love notes with.  It’s been a LONG time since B and I wrote each other letters, but I am going to take LLB’s advice and use these just for that purpose.

~Bonus Item: Dancin’ Goat Skin Care Hula Bliss Lotion ($4.50): The information card is right.  This has been a long winter and we do need to get our skin summer ready!  Not only does this smell good, but it’s all-natural and very moisturizing.

All totaled I came up with a value of $106.47 for the February 2015 Little Lace Box.  It’s not my al-time favorite Little Lace Box, but I think they did a good job with what they had and I really really appreciate the honesty they showed when they discussed the issues they encountered this month.  In order to get back on track they are NOT accepting any new subscribers (monthly or annual) for March.  They are going to give their suppliers (which are usually smaller companies) a chance to catch up from all the February storms and strikes.  They will also be migrating to a new host and getting a website in the next 30 days.  They have outgrown their old one and realize they need to make a change!

What do you think of Little Lace Box?  If you are interested in ordering when they open their subscriptions back up or just want to learn more, click here and use the coupon code “Rambling10” to save $10 off your first box.  The March 2015 theme is “Here Comes the Sun” and will include special items for the “mind, body & soul.”  They went on to say that “even if it’s cloudy when your box arrives, the lovelies inside will be just the thing to brighten your day!”.  I am already excited to see what they do with that box and I can’t get the song out of my head!  Because I love LLB and their curation, I bought an extra box to give to one of you!  All you need to do is enter in the Rafflecopter widget and you’ll be signed up. All you need to do is “Just Click Enter”, but as always, there are lots of other options.  Good luck!
