Our February 2015 Love With Food box arrived over the weekend and we have been busy sampling all the snacks these past few days.
If you aren’t familiar, Love With Food box members receive a curated box filled unique gourmet food items. The “Tasting Box” is $12/month and offers with 8+ snacks and the “Deluxe” box is $19.95/month and includes 16-20 snacks. Love With Food also offers a Gluten-Free box for $29/month which includes 8-12 surprise gluten-free snacks each month. Each box brings new delights, with bites that vary based on seasonal themes. In addition, Love With Food donates a meal (some months is even two meals) to a child in need with each box purchased, which you can read more about here.
Love With Food ships via USPS and took just under a week this month. If you order by the 1st of the month your box will arrive that month. If you order after the 1st, it will arrive the following month. Orders placed today will begin with the March box which ships around the 10th of March.
Loved the first look! I hadn’t gotten a chance to check out any spoilers on this one so everything was a complete surprise.
The February 2015 Love With Food theme was Mardi Gras and included the following jazzy treats:
~Lemon Wafer Bites by Dolcetto: These are awesome. I am a fan of lemon wafers in general, but these are even better than I expected. They are crispy and have a great true lemon flavor. And each bag is only 100 calories.
~Traditional Hot Chocolate by Monbana:Although it’s been so cold here I haven’t tried this yet. But it’s going to be freezing cold all week, so there are still lots of chances.
~Olive Oil Potato Chips by Boulder Canyon: These small batch chips have no cholesterol, trans fats or msg. I didn’t try these, but the boys liked them a lot.
~Baked Mac N’ Cheese Puffs by Snikiddy: B and I totally expected to open these and find small puffs – like macaroni and cheese sized puffs. But they were big. Like normal cheese puff size! They were good but I think we both would have liked them more had they been smaller.
~Milk Chocolate Mini Pieces by Divine Chocolate: I don’t know what else to say other than that this is some delicious chocolate. For real. So good.
~Original Creole Seasoning by Tony Chachere’s: You can use this in anything from crawdads to gumbo. We haven’t used this one yet, but I suspect B will figure out something for it. Maybe in a chili?
~Protein + Almond Honey Bar by Rise Bar: I liked this, but I didn’t love it. It’s only got three ingredients (almonds, honey and whey protein isolate) which is great, but I don’t necessarily love almonds so I think that’s what’s keeping me from loving it.
~Toffee Crunch Trufflecremes by Dilettante: These are combination of butter toffee and almonds in milk chocolate. Now I know that I just said I am not a huge fan of almonds, but when they are covered in chocolate I guess that’s a different story because I did love these.
I never do a cost breakdown on Love With Food, but I am consistently happy with them and think that $12/month is a great deal. They send a great variety of snacks and it’s a subscription box that has a little something in it for everyone in the house. Oh I should also mention that Love With Food included some mardi gras beads this month. WB is obsessed with them. Totally loves them.
Did you get Love With Food this month? What’d you think? If you are interested in signing up click here. Subscriptions (for a regular box) are $12/month, but if you are a new customer you can try your first box free (you pay shipping of $2) using my link (no code needed)! And if you subscribe and received the Deluxe box this month (which is $19.95/month), did you get any different goodies in it?
Tony Chacheres is my go-to for beef. I put it and worchestershire on steaks and in my burgers. soooo goood. just remember that it is seasoned salt, so don’t use salt too!
Those chips were too plain with me, but add some of that seasoning and sooooo good!
Those olive oil chips are where it’s at, my mom gets them from Sam’s club as a little bit better option than regular potato chips. ALSO the Tony Chachere’s is a staple in our house, you can get a whole shaker of it at walmart. Try it on ANYTHING it’s fabulous.. a few of my favorite things to put it on is Mac N Cheese and Scrambled Eggs. I promise you won’t regret it!! 🙂
This box arrived today which I opened in front of my boys. There isn’t much left. I am going to give the rise protein bar to my sister because it is gluten-free. We like everything that we tried.
The Lemon wafers are amazing, I need to find them in a store because definitely I need more 🙂
