I was actually expecting a bunch of boxes in the mail yesterday, but only one of them, my March 2015 NewBeauty TestTube actually arrived.
If you aren’t familiar, NewBeauty TestTube is an exclusive, one-of-a-kind sampling program that enables members the opportunity to try a variety of the latest breakthrough beauty products before investing in them, and then share their feedback about the products. Six times a year, for just $29.95 (plus shipping and handling), subscribers receive a TestTube filled with deluxe and full-size products from the hottest beauty brands. Members will also receive a subscription to NewBeauty magazine, delivered quarterly.
NewBeauty TestTube ships via FedEx Smart Post and takes about a week to arrive. Boxes ship bi-monthly and generally arrive towards the beginning of the month (or at the end of the previous month like this month’s box).
It’s hard to take a true first look picture because everything is packed in a tube, but I did the best I could. Some months all of the products don’t fit in the tube, but that was not the case this month.
NewBeauty TestTube includes a great information book with product information, prices, details on where to buy the products, etc. Here is what was included in the March 2015 shipment:
~Your Best Friend Mechanical Eye Pencil (Charming Champagne) ($14): I can’t find this exact product online (which drives me crazy), but it can be used as both an eye pencil and a highlighter. I love the color (it’s a very light tan) and will total use this.
~Key West Aloe Gentle Aloe Facial Cleanser ($2.75): This screams summer to me. I am imagining using it after a long day out in the summer and will probably end up saving for a vacation. It removes makeup, cleanses and tones and is good even for sensitive skin.
~John Frieda Luxurious Volume 7 Day Volume In-Shower Treatment ($2.16): This works to transform fine hair for up to seven days and will last through multiple washes. I have loved the other treatments from John Frieda that I have tried and I am probably going to end up picking up the full size of this one as well.
~Lumene Bright Now Vitamin C Day Cream SPF15 ($3.99): I’ll throw this in my travel bag, but I doubt I will end up switching brands. I have tried it in the past and it hasn’t wowed me.
~John Frieda Frizz Ease Beyond Smooth Frizz-Immunity Shampoo and Conditioner and Immunity Primer ($3): I wouldn’t consider frizz to be one of my hair issues (now flyways are another story), but my a few of my cousins have naturally curly hair and will really appreciate these. I will throw them in my next care package to them.
~Tan Towels Self-Tan Towelettes ($13.50): I love Tan Towels! I ran out a while ago, so these are much appreciated. They are easy to apply (much easier than tanning lotion in my opinion) and really work.
~Philosophy Full of Promise ($30): Wow! I was not expecting this to be a $30 sample! This cream is supposed to “defy” gravity and restore your skin to it’s original youthful appearance. I am game for that! I couldn’t see any difference after using it for just a day, but hopefully by the time I use this up I will look a ton younger.
~Mally Lip Magnifier Lip Color ($20): I like the lip crayon, but I am not a huge fan of the color, so I will be passing it on to my sister-in-law.
All totaled I came up with a value of $89.40 for the March 2015 NewBeauty TestTube. The Tan Towels and Philosophy alone made it worth it for me. Everything else was just a bonus.
