What sample are you going for this month? I am getting the Mad Men New York Box on one account and don’t plan on selecting a sample on my second account. I am just going to roll the dice and see what I get! Just a heads up – if you upgraded to the new Birchbox subscription option with the two full-sized products added to your box you cannot select a Guest Editor box, but you can still select one of the three sample choices. I wasn’t aware of this before today so I wanted to mention it right away!
I was torn on the two Mad Men boxes. Both had samples I would like. Unfortunately neither of those options were available to me so I chose the Jouer blush sample.
Weird…I wanted the Rifle paper box…regardless of sample…and none of those were available to me. This is my first month and the Rifle box was my whole reason for signing up…super disappointed already. I think I need to quit sub boxes altogether because 90% of the time they end in disappointment.
April is your first month? I *believe* you get a generic welcome box your first month go you don’t get to pick a sample. I might be wrong, but I think it will come in the Rifle Paper Co, box.
Yep, I just signed up for the Rifle goodies (box & tote)…today I got the email to choose but it showed all the samples sold out so the only options were the madmen boxes. I didn’t notice anything about a welcome box but maybe I missed it. I’ve emailed CS so hopefully I hear back soon. As long as it comes in the rifle box I will be content. Thanks for your response!
Oh so you did get the Sample Choice e-mail they were just all sold out? They have awesome customer service and will help you out! If you don’t select a sample from one of the three choices you will by default get a normal (i.e. not one of the Madmen curated) box. Meaning you get the Rifle Paper Company box since that’s the “normal” April box!
Does that mean the Mad Men boxes are all spoken for?? I haven’t gotten the e-mail yet but I think I want the CA one. Is there a way to select it on your profile? I can’t see anything on the mobile site.
I just looked and just the Mad Men boxes are left. Both CA and NY!
I really want the New York Mad Men box! If you select a add on can you find that info in your account at all? Or do you usually get a email confirmation? I got nothing and this was my first time getting a add on…

Aww! This was my first sample month and I didn’t realize they were out of stock – I spent five minutes picking. I’m going to keep the regular as I want the RPC box for sure! I should have hopped on the add ons as well. Lesson learned!
