OMG my March 2015 Birchbox is here! I have two subscriptions and typically opt for that month’s curated box on one account and then just keep my other account as is.

If you aren’t familiar, Birchbox, which is $10/month, offers 4-6 (sometimes more) hand-picked beauty and lifestyle samples, delivered to your door each month. You can review the samples you receive on a monthly basis to earn points in their shop, which makes the “real” cost of the box even less. Points accumulate until you are ready to spend, so you can stockpile and combine with coupon codes and get some complete steals (which I try to do).

Birchbox ships via USPS and all boxes generally ship by the 10th of the month.  Mine shipped SO early this month and I was shocked when it arrived today.  B’s March Birchbox Man box shipped on the 26th of February and still isn’t here yet.

I opted for the curated “Beauty Solutions” box on this account.  I love fun the box designs have been this year and have been saving them for whatever project Birchbox has planned (they suggested we save them).

Since Birchbox releases the contents of their curated boxes when you make your selections for the month I knew exactly what to expect in this box.  However I wasn’t sure about the sizes so that was a surprise.

The March 2015 Birchbox “Beauty Solutions” box included the following “supereffective products” to fix your most persistent beauty difficulties:

~Dear Clark Volumizing Hair Tonic ($4.33): I think I might like this stuff more than I like sea salt spray!  A little goes a long way but it gives you great volume.  It does smell a bit like men’s cologne, but I don’t think that’s a bad thing.

~derma e Evenly Radiant Brightening Day Creme SPF15 ($6.99): This cream is applied in the morning and helps to fix a dull complexion, uneven skin tone and has SPF. There is plenty in this sample so I’ll be able to get a good idea if it works or not.

~Laura Geller Beauty Baked Blush-n-Brighten ($9.38): Love everything about this.  The color, the fun container (half is clear and half has a mirror), everything.  Considering that this is a sample, it’s huge!  I’m impressed.

~Supergoop Advanced SPF 37 Anti-Aging Eye Cream ($6): This sample is tiny, but you only need a pea sized amount for each eye.  It works to fight the signs of aging and lack of sleep.  I’m generally happy with Supergoop products so it’ll be nice to try this one.

~Whish Three Whishes Body Butter ($3.52): I love this Whish scent.  I think it’s my favorite one they offer.  I put it on my hands as soon as I got the box and not only are they super soft, they smell fabulous.

All totaled I came up with a value of $30.22 for the March 2015 Birchbox “Beauty Solutions” box.  Including the points I get for purchasing the box (10 points = $1 to spend at Birchbox) and reviewing / sharing the items in the box (60 points = $6), the value increases to $32.77. I was really happy with this curated box and LOVE that Birchbox started this.  Having two subscriptions so I can get both boxes is fantastic!  I totally recommend try it.
