ipsy March 2015 Subscription Box – “Floral Fantasy”

The mail truck came by my house twice today (I have no idea why), but the second delivery included my March 2015 ipsy bag!

If you aren’t familiar, ipsy is $10/month and sends its members a beautiful Glam Bag with 4-6 deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products. Their bags always have an incredible value (well over the $10 cost) and I am always amazed at how they do it.

The Package

ipsy ships via DHL Global Mail.  It starts out with DHL and is delivered by USPS.  I have no idea how long it took to arrive because I never got any tracking e-mail on it.  They generally ship around the 10th though, so maybe a week?

Out of the Bag

ipsy sends all of your products each month in a little cosmetics bag.  Some months are cuter than others and they send an assortment of different shaped bags too.

The Information Card

The March 2015 ipsy Glam Bag theme was “Floral Fantasy” and my bag included the following items:

~Equitance™ brightening serum & spot corrector ($29.17): I had no idea that this was so valuable (i.e. expensive).  It is supposed to reduce the visible appearance of dark spots.  My skin is back to being a mess again (Diet Pepsi got me again), but once I get it under control I am going to add this to my routine.  I hope there is enough to make a difference!

~NYX Cosmetics Butter Lipstick (Pops) ($5.99): I don’t generally wear lipstick so none of the shades this was sent out in really excites me.  My sister-in-law will like it though.  I would describe this as a coral shade and it seems very wearable to me.

~pūr~lisse beauty pūr~delicate gentle soymilk cleanser & makeup remover ($6.43): >pūr~lisse was in so many subscription boxes last summer, but it was their “Pūr~protect” I received so many of. This is the first time I have ever received the pūr~delicate.  It might just be me, but I love getting cleaners in subscription boxes.  It’s probably something I use the most of and don’t have a go-to cleanser right now, so I like all the samples.  It you have a favorite cleanser, what is it?

~Evelyn Iona Cosmetics Concealer: I can’t figure out how large the full-size of product is, so I can’t do a cost breakdown.  I mentioned a bit ago how my skin is a mess (and it is) so this is very timely.  I thought it was easy to apply (I just tested it with my finger) and a little bit goes a long way.

~VINTAGE by Jessica Liebeskind Illuminating Face Highlighter: This is another one where I couldn’t find the price on the full-size version of this.  I never realized before I started looking up prices that many products don’t list the size / weight of the product you are buying!  Anyway, I could take this or leave it.  It’s it a neat color, but I already have a few like it so I will be passing this on to a friend.

~The Bag: I absolutely love the bag this month!  The floral print is gorgeous and the colors are awesome.

The Bag

Since I couldn’t locate prices on everything I couldn’t do a full cost breakdown on this bag.  It certainly wasn’t my favorite ipsy bag, but I do think it was worth the $10 (I always think that though).  But in the ipsy / Birchbox battle this month, Birchbox wins for me.

Did you get this month’s ipsy bag? What variations did you get? And what’d you think? If you are interested in subscribing or interested in learning more, click here. I can’t wait to see what’s in mine. I am loving the bag this month!!

I am with you on the bag. I love the cosmetic bag that was included this month. I think the colors are great. I received the lipstick in a dark plum color. It’s actually more like a lip stain. I used it in the evening, and even though I wiped it off, I could still see the color when I got up the next morning. LOL.
I was also excited to see the Pur-lisse is a cleanser, because it seems like that’s something rarely included in subscriptions. I typically use Cetaphil cleanser. It’s safe for sensitive skin, and inexpensive.

I’ve been SO disappointed in Ipsy…it’s like they are sending items that are the oppositive of what I need/want. They sent a volumizing spray last month despite me having curly, frizzy full hair…and then a PURPLE lipstick this month…PURPLE??? I am a pail redhead…UGH
