If you aren’t familiar, Julep is a monthly nail polish subscription service.  They offer a “My Maven” box for $24.99/month which contains $40+ worth of product and polish or “Maven Luxe” for $39.99/month which contains $60+ of prestige products.  Both boxes are fully customizable and you have the option to switch between tiers.  Subscribers prior to 4/29/14 were grandfathered in at the $19.99/month rate, however, they will need to upgrade to the $24.99 subscription if they want to customize their boxes.

Julep ships via FedEx Smart Post and took just a few days to arrive to me this month.

First Look

I never can remember what selections I made for my box until it arrives.  I finally switched over to the fully customized box in the last few months so I am able to pick whatever polishes or products from that month’s collection.

The Information Card

The March 2015 Julep Maven box featured “The Pop Collection”.  My selections this month were as follows:

~Lucky (It Girl) ($11.20 / $14): Lucky is described as a kelly green and gold coin multi-dimensional, full coverage glitter.  This was brought back from the vault – meaning that it’s a previously released shade.  It’s so perfect for St. Patrick’s Day and couldn’t resist.  If I had this color before I must have given it to a friend because it wasn’t in my collection!

~Ming (It Girl) ($11.20 / $14): Ming is a “sheer wild orchid jelly”.  I am not totally sure how to describe a jelly polish.  It’s a lightly tinted polish.  Imagine lots of clear polish with a little color mixed in.  You can wear it alone or use it on top of another polish for a really cool finish.

~Nayely (Bombshell) ($9.99): Nayely is a papaya nectar crème.  It’s reminds me of an Orange Julius drink.  And Spring.  I love it!

~Add-Ons: I opted for 3 add-ons this month (the two nail stickers and “Janet” from this month’s collection which is a pale peach soft focus) and got a free polish “Francis” for taking 3 add-ons.  I really just wanted the Janet and one set of stickers, but I was lured to get another pack of stickers because of the free gift. They got me ;).

Add-Ons

All totaled my March 2015 Julep Maven box had a value of $37.99.  Not crazy valuable, however, I selected everything so I knew this in advance. I am happy and need to paint my nails with one of these asap!

Did you get Julep this month?  What collection did you get?  If you are a new subscriber and want to sign up, you can get a free 4-piece March Birthstone Welcome Box with the coupon code “AQUA” The box is a $58 value and includes three gorgeous nail colors and a fan favorite beauty product as a bonus.
