~Good evening! I hope you all had a good weekend. We played outside as much as possible here and loved it. B also cooked up some recipes from RawSpiceBar and Pantry Gourmets which were amazing (you can check them out on his Instagram). And then of course the normal errands and laundry, which still isn’t done.
~It’s NCAA Tournament time and I am going to do a Bracket Challenge again this year! Here’s how it’s going to go down:
*Go here and get signed up (18+ US Residents Only).
*Then go here and enter your name and ESPN Tournament Challenge name. I had a TON of trouble finding people who won last year because I didn’t have everyone’s e-mails, so this should clear ALL of that up.
*Fill out your bracket selections by Thursday, March 19, 2015. I don’t know what time the first game starts on Thursday, but usually the brackets lock an hour or so before the tip-off. So plan on picking before Thursday around noon!
The top three in the standings at the end of the tournament will get prizes and I’ll pick an additional 10 winners or so throughout the tournament at random. I’ll announce the prizes by Thursday (any ideas??) and seriously even if you know NOTHING about college basketball join in with us and play. It’s fun!
~So KEEP Collective. It’s a little confusing, so I thought I’d explain how it works. You select a “keeper” (that’d be either a bracelet – they come in leather, mesh and metal bangles or a pendant) and then you can add whatever “keys” you want. I have been playing around with my starter kit and I actually just ordered one for me with the boys birthstones, a “Mom” Key and an open heart on the red / pink leather band. One side is red, one side is pink. Anyway, it worked out to $71 total. It’s really neat because you flip the bracelet over to the other side, add and remove keys and change it into a totally different piece!
~Did you see that new powdered alcohol that’s coming out? It’s interesting to say the least and I will so be trying it. It’s seriously like adult Kool-Aid. You just mix it with water and you’ve got yourself a drink! This will obviously make it much easier to sneak booze into concerts, festivals, sporting events, etc. I’m sure the college market will LOVE it! Not that I would have ever used it when I was in college Mom. Ever ;). I was too busy studying.
~Just a few random things – I went a Ben & Jerry’s store this weekend and no sign of the lip or the Jimmy Fallon ice-cream. Has anyone spied either out here? Baby Foot is happening this week. B’s down to try it too so I ordered him a set. I will be sure to report back next week. I’m going to get another newsletter out either later tonight or tomorrow. I will announce the winner from the last giveaway (she’s already been notified) and will have another posted in there, so make sure to check it out!
