BiteBox, by the Pantry Gourmets is a monthly membership providing top American Artisan products, hand picked from passionate producers across the USA. Each month you can expect to receive 4-6 full-sized products along with Professional Chef derived delicious recipes that showcase the flavors of those items.
Gourmet Pantry BiteBox ships via FedEx and took just under a week to arrive. I don’t know what happened with them in February (and couldn’t find anything on it on Facebook), but this box was quite late.
BiteBox packages all of their items inside a reusable bag. We use our bags from them all the time.
The February 2015 BiteBox theme was Sweet and Spicy and included the following items:
~A&B American Style Pepper Sauce ($6): This pepper sauce can he used for just about anything according to the information card. It works on eggs, in cocktails and make chicken and burgers amazing. You can use this sauce as a replacement for hot sauce, ketchup or cocktail sauce.
~Dude, Sweet Chocolate Break Up Potion Chocolate Sauce ($9): I would love to know why they call this break-up chocolate sauce! I was thinking you just throw this on ice-cream, but they suggest making a chocolate martini with it.
~Zukali Fire Roasted Jalapeños ($6.95): Now the sweet part of this box I can handle, but the spicy? Not so much. I think B is going to take these to work and give them to someone who will really appreciate them.
~Wild Friends Nut Butters Honey Sunflower Butter ($8.99): So good! This is 100% USDA organic and is made from Sunflower Seeds, Sunflower Oil, Clover Honey and Sea Salt. And that’s it!
~The Jam Stand You’re My Boy BLUEberry Bourbon Jam ($10): We have gotten this in a bunch of boxes and love it every time. And the name makes me smile every time I read it too.
~Tumbador Chocolates dulce de chile ($3.33): This brand makes great chocolates. I have sampled a few of their products before and they are always good.
All totaled I came up with a value of $44.27 for the February 2015 Pantry Gourmets BiteBox. I don’t mind that the value was of the items was slightly less than the cost of the box as much as I mind that there were no recipes this month ;(. I don’t know if my box was just missing them or if they don’t do that anymore or what, but I loved them and I think that is what made me like BiteBox so much.

So weird you didn’t get last month’s box. Do you sub or get them for review purposes? Last month they sent out TWO jars of jam — and now this month, another jar. We just can’t keep up with it. Plus, they sent out this exact jam with their ‘breakfast’ box not six months ago. And where are the recipes?? Sadly, I feel like this box is dying. Which makes me sad because it wasfantastic for awhile.
They are sent to me to review.
You know what’s weird? I actually DID get last month’s month. I have no recollection of it’s arrival, but i found some pictures of it in my Media Library on here yesterday! I need to get my review of it up!
I subscribed to Bitebox around the middle of last month and yesterday when I had heard absolutely nothing from them since the email they sent confirming the order, I contacted them to find out whether or not my order would be shipping at all this month. A nice man emailed me back to let me know that they’ve discontinued their subscription service.
