Austin Lloyd 3 Year-Old Mystery Box Review

Austin Lloyd, is a subscription box of educational toys for children aged 3 and under. They aim to take the guess work out of choosing toys that your child will enjoy, while also gaining skills that aide in their overall development. Each box contains 4-5 high-quality educational toys and typically at least one book.  Just last week, however, they offered Mystery Boxes for $35.99/each.  They had a variety of age groups available and all promised to include 3 toys and 1 book and have the same great quality items as their regular subscriptions. I jumped at the chance and selected a Mystery Box for a 3 year-old.

The Box

My Austin Lloyd Mystery Box shipped via USPS Priority Mail and took under a week to arrive from the day I ordered it.

This box didn’t have any information cards like their normal monthly boxes do, but that’s to be excepted with mystery boxes.  The following items were included in my 3 year-old Austin Lloyd Mystery Box:

~My Dad is the Best Playground Book ($6.66): I am not familiar with this book (well I wasn’t before this anyway), but it’s so cute.  And so true!  The boys do think B is their personal playground.

~Tegu 8-Piece Pocket Pouch ($21.25): LOVE Tegu!  We received a 4-piece set from Citrus Lane over the winter so we’ll add these to it. Tegu blocks are expensive, but so cool since you can build whatever / however you want with them (they are magnetic).  I was thrilled when I opened the box and saw these.

~Kid O Frogs & Lily Pad Jumping Game ($7.75): My boys love those little flipper frog things and will both love this game. It’s tiny so you easily throw it in your purse (well, I could throw it in my giant bag anyway) and use it while traveling or whatever.

~Hape Circus Screwballs ($15): These are adorable. They are little wooden characters, but you can take them apart and switch the pieces around.   I am going to save these for WB’s birthday this weekend, but I *might* have played around with them a little before putting them back in the box.

All totaled I came up with a value of $50.66 for the 3 year-old Austin Lloyd Mystery Box and I loved it!  I think it was well worth the $35.99 cost and would love to see what other people received!

The 19-24 months, 2 year-old and 3 year-old Mystery Boxes are already sold out, but they still have the 0-5 month, 6-12 months and 13-18 month Mystery Boxes available for $35.99.  And I will make sure to post if I hear they have restocked any of the other ones.

Spread the love

We also ordered a 3 year old mystery box and got the same book, 2 Hape Clickety-Clack Clappers, the Skip Hop Crocodile Xylophone and the Petit Collage Safari Memory Game. I’m super stoked because we’ve been subscribed to their 2 year old box for a year now but didn’t get any repeats in the mystery box! Btw…love your site. It’s the only one I check daily!!!

      Thank you!

I actually didn’t get any repeats either and I was amazed! I hope they restock the older age groups. I would totally get another one.
