The Awesome Family Pack is for a family that includes adults and children 15 and younger and is geared more towards fun games and activities that the whole family can do together. The Big Kid Mode is geared more for adults (or families with older children 12 plus) and is more about Awesome higher quality games and activities.
Awesome Pack ships via USPS around the 15th of the month. The March Awesome Pack packs were a bit delayed to due some shipping issues with vendors (I think that was it), but they were great about communicating the delay. If you sign up before the 15th of the month you will receive your pack that month. If you sign up after the 15th, you will receive your first pack the following month.
Everything looked great! There isn’t another subscription box like Awesome Pack so it’s a really fun one to open up.
Awesome Pack includes a personalized information card giving you a summary of the items in the box. Here is what our box (for a family of 4 with almost 3 and 7 year old boys) included:
~Activity Book: All Awesome Pack‘s include an activity book with puzzles, a journal to write about all the fun you have been having and more fun activities to do.
~Shelby’s Snack Shack Game ($14.99): In your Awesome Pack questionnaire they ask if you if you want games for the entire family, the older kids, adults, etc. and selected games for the entire family. This game is perfect. It will help WB with counting and it’s a game that L will still enjoy as well.
~Dig A Glow Dinosaur ($9.90): OMG, the timing on these couldn’t have been more perfect. I am putting these in the boys Easter Baskets. L saw one of these in the past and wanted it so he’ll be super excited when he sees it in his Easter Basket.
~Snazaroo ($8.99): These are pirate face stamps. WB spied these when I opened this box and wanted them on his face right away. I distracted him though and these will go in his Easter Basket.
~Marvel Grab Zag ($6.95): Now this one is headed in L’s Easter Basket. I badly wanted to see what the prize inside was, but I didn’t want to spoil it for him. Plus it would be weird if the Easter Bunny delivered opened toys.
~Chuck & Friends Truck (~$4): This is actually how I distracted WB from the face stamps! He was thrilled with his truck and actually took it to bed with him last night. LOL!
~Bug Out (~$10): This is going in L’s Easter Basket, but I think it’s something both boys will enjoy. I can also see that this game is going to get messy and competitive with little bug cards all over my living room ;).
All totaled I came up with a value of $54.83 for the March 2015 Awesome Pack. I should point out that I used online prices in my calculation and not retail prices. Had I used retail prices I am sure the value would have been at least $10 more. I loved their selections for us this month and thought this was a great pack!
