Beauty Box 5 delivers a sample box of all things beauty. Each box contains 4 – 5 samples of a variety of makeup, skin care, fragrances and everything in between! Boxes are $12/month if you do a month-to-month subscription, however, I subscribed a while back when they had a crazy deal that brought the cost of an annual subscription down to $6.58/month.
Beauty Box 5 ships via DHL and took under a week to arrive. They send tracking e-mails out, but I can’t access my account online (I am not one of their BETA members) which kind of bugs me.
I thought this was a great first look! Beauty Box 5 was the only subscription box I received today in the mail if you can believe that!
The April 2015 Beauty Box 5 theme is “bloom” and included the following:
~Lasting Smiles Passionfruit Mango Organic Lip Balm ($4.99): This smells like vacation. Not only is it USDA Certified Organic, but every purchase supports cleft lip and palate surgeries for children around the world. 1,000 lip balms sold provides 1 child with a life changing surgery!
~Dancin’ Goat Skin Care Hula Bliss Lotion ($4.50): I actuality tried this in the February Little Lace Box and loved it. It smells spa’ish (the fragrance is described as a relaxing blend of lavender, rosemary, and eucalyptus) and is strong and it too reminds me of vacation.
~Incoco Nail Polish Applique Set ($8.99): Meh, I don’t like the design on these. Actually it’s not like I dislike it, but I can’t see myself wearing hot pink and black lace nail wraps. I have no occasion I could make those work at except maybe an 80’s party? I saw some other box pictures on Instagram with some cuter wraps though so not everyone is getting this pattern.
~Style Essentials Twingloss ($2.50): I believe that this was also sent out in a variety of shades. I don’t get many nude glosses, so this as a nice change of pace. It’s super glossy which I like too.
~First Aid Beauty Facial Cleanser ($0.90): I (obviously) wish these were bigger, but I am happy they included three so you can at least try them for a few days in a row. First Aid Beauty is a great brand and I would love to see more of it in BB5!
All totaled I came up with a value of $21.88 for the April 2015 Beauty Box 5! Last month wasn’t overly exciting to me, but I thought this was a great box. I loved seeing First Aid Beauty, Dancin’ Goat and Lasting Smiles in here!
Do you subscribe to Beauty Box 5? What’d you get in your box this month? I know there were some variations! If you are interested in subscribing or want to check out more, click here. New subscribers can use the coupon code “FREEBOX1” (I am pretty sure this still works) to get a box from a previous month free with a new subscription order.
I received my box Beauty Box 5 yesterday. Mine was very similar to yours except I received a travel size Rave hairspray instead of the Dancing Goat lotion. My twingloss is pink and my nail polish set is cute with pink roses and small black polka dots. Overall I was happy with this months box.
