The Information Card

The April 2015 GlobeIn theme was “Picnic” and was all about enjoying new ways of eating on the go.  The following items were included to help empower you to eat mindfully and live joyfully:

~All Good Herbal Sunstick from Brazil ($7.99): Both of my boys hate when you put sunscreen on their face, so I try to use sunscreen sticks whenever I can. This one will be great to throw in my purse this summer to reapply sunscreen on the go as well.

~Kopali Organic Dried Mango (~$4): I cannot find these for sale online anywhere so I guessed at the price.  Anyway I didn’t love these.  I’m kind of funny about dried fruit.  If it was crunchy I would have been more of a fan.  I like crunchy dried fruit.  Like the freeze-dried and baked dried fruits.

~Tiffin-inspired Tri Bento Lunchbox from India ($25): I love this!  According to the information card it was inspired by Mumbai’s traditional “tiffins” which are steel “to-go” boxes used to deliver 200,000 daily home-cooked lunches. I did some googling and it looks like a really cool service.  I believe my college friend The Yuppie Traveler is headed to India soon and hopefully she’ll be in a location that has this service! I think B is going to LOVE this for work lunches.

~~Hand-printed Khatri Cotton Napkin Set ($10): The set includes two gorgeous napkins (dyed, hand-printed and cured under the desert sun) and a drawstring bag. You can use the bag to store these napkins and silverware or to hold snacks.

~Palm Leaf Basket ($12): I believe that each monthly box includes a palm leave basket like this one.  The sunscreen stick and lunchbox were packaged inside of it.  I am using my last one to store some of my products in under the bathroom sink.

All totaled I came up with an estimated value of $58.99 for the April 2015 GlobeIn box.  I really liked this month’s theme and think that the lunchbox is just fabulous.  I cannot wait to show it to B!

I know it’s silly, but you’re killing me that you haven’t posted an Easter Target clearance post! I can’t believe that you haven’t gone yet 🙂 I was inspired by your blog to go for the first time, and found some really awesome deals at 70% off!

LOL! I swear, I haven’t gone yet! What’d you find??

There was an egg wreath that I reallllllly wanted, and they had a ton left at $5.99-I was afraid if I waited till 90% off they might be gone, so I got one. Then when I was in the normal home goods section, I found a wreath with paper flowers on it that I had never seen in Easter clearance, but were the same flowers as other Easter items, so I scanned it and it was on clearance too! I was thrilled 🙂 Besides that, I just picked up a onesie for $2.99 and a cute (non-Easter) gift bag for .40 for a baby shower.

It was so fun to go look at everything! I’ll probably go back when it hits 90% off 😀

The tiffin inspired box reminds me of the recent movie, “The Lunchbox.” I highly recommend it!

It is based in Mumbai, about a neglected wife who sends a fresh home cooked meal to her husband at work at lunchtime to win his heart, and the tiffin mistakenly goes to a lonely older widower, thru the chaotic bicycle delivery service. She realizes that the meal she cooked to win her husband’s heart was NOT the meal that he received, so she includes a note with the next delivery. The lonely young wife and the widower slowly begin to bond through notes sent in the tiffin.

You will enjoy it, especially now that you received this lunch box!
