Eeek! My April 2015 POPSUGAR Must Have Box is here! I was thrilled to get it so early and was seriously stalking the mailman today.
If you aren’t familiar with them, PopSugar Must Have Box is an exciting monthly box full of fun, must-have picks across fashion, beauty, home decor, fitness, and more, which is delivered to your door on a monthly basis. Boxes include full-size products and premium items including tried-and-true classics, celebrity favorites, and brands consumers have yet to discover worth over $100!
POPSUGAR ships via FedEx Smart Post and took just shy of a week to arrive. I suspect they sent out boxes in batches this month and I am shocked that mine went out in one of the first batches. I usually don’t get it until way after everyone else.
We got “spoiled” on this box on Monday, but it only made me more excited to receive this box. And the first look did not disappoint at all. Everything looked amazing.
The April 2015 POPSUGAR Must Have Box was inspired by “Spring”, “Simplicity”, “Markets” and “Outdoors” and included the following items:
~Dabney Lee Umbrella ($20): It just so happens to be raining here today, so the timing (sadly) on this is perfect. I am going to leave this one in my car so that I always have one handy when I go to pick L up from school and it’s pouring out. I have purchased a few Dabney Lee cell phone cases from Marshalls and have always been impressed with the quality.
~One Love Organics Gardenia + Tea Antioxidant Body Serum ($39): I don’t think I have ever tried a body serum. It leaves your skin soft all over and has a nice, very light scent. It’s not something I would have bought on my own, but I am happy to test it out.
~Produce Candle (Rhubarb) ($20): I have been wanting one of these Produce candles for ages. I have seen them at TJ Maxx / Marshalls a few times, but they have been in rough shape so I passed on them. I was beyond excited when I found out that one would be in this box. I love the Rhubarb scent (it smells way better than I think it tastes) and may end up trying to trade for another one of these. Or I will use the included 35% coupon code and buy a different scent to try.
~Flip & Tumble 24-7 Shopping Bag ($12): I think a lot of people guessed that this box would include a tote of some sort and here it is. It folds up tiny and fits in your purse, glovebox or even your pocket. It’s always nice to have one of these on hand.
~Potting Shed Creations Garden-In-A-Bag (Basil) ($10): We usually have a little herb garden in the summer and grow basil, but I love the idea of growing this right out of the bag on the windowsill. You can pick the basil right off the plant and use it – no chopping or mincing required. I’ll post a picture on Instagram once we get some some basil growing.
~Mott 50 $25 Gift Card ($25): Mott 50 makes high quality sun protective clothing. I actually own a Mott 50 shawl that I added on to my Birchbox last summer and I really like it. I don’t *think* there is anything on the site you can get for free which this voucher, but if you were going to purchase something anyway, this is a nice discount.
All totaled I came up with a value of $101 (that doesn’t include the value of the Mott 50 coupon) for the April 2015 POPSUGAR Must Have Box. I totally loved this box. With the exception of the serum (which I am excited to try) I would have purchased every single one of these items on my own so it’s a total win for me.

Is this the March box or the April box? you have the wrong title under one of the pictures too. it seems like your reviews get worse rather than better. you are too quick to post, never give a swatch of color to anything and just retype whatever is on the insert card. I’m staying devoted to MSA and am done with this site.
Sorry, it’s the April box! I had it changed, but sometimes revisions take a bit to show up on my page for some reason.
wow what a meanie
Linda, honey – The first word in a sentence should always be capitalized…perhaps before you cast stones you should take a look at yourself.
Jennifer – thank you for your great site and for keeping us informed. I like reading your posts and your readers’ comments almost as much as I like getting my box each month!
I just realized why I laughed so hard at this! Because if that video with the kid in it!!!
Linda – Trolling a bit much, aren’t you? If you’ve been a long time reader of Jen’s blog (as I have) then you know how down to earth and personal her site is. She has NO ONE to please other than herself, and what she does is a free service to us. If anything, we should be GRATEFUL that she runs such an amazing blog and shares this with us.
Didn’t anyone teach you manners? Have you heard of the saying “If you don’t have anything nice to say, then don’t say anything at all.” I’m at teacher and my 1st graders have better manners than you. How rude. I hope these replies to your nasty comment encourage to stop trolling and to leave constructive feedback and comments. No one here needs your ridiculous opinion or attitude.
The fact you are an MSA reader kinda says it all…Liz never connected with her readers in the time I followed her. It was very upsetting especially when she got special boxes curated for her and never told her readers….and then the companies when you contacted them would claim that the reviewer knew it was a special box for her, but never told her readers (for one of the subscriptions I signed up for from her site).
MSA isn’t even in the same league as Ramblings. And, that’s my trolling feeding fire with fire and making a situation worse…but seriously, this site is awesome and the only blog I subscribe to and look forward to getting an update for.
I agree. I signed up for a few boxes due to Liz’s “special boxes” being previewed as what everyone will receive. I also noticed many (not all) posted comments (nothing rude, just opinions) would be removed if they reflected poorly on the box or company that made it. I am happy to have stumbled upon this blog!
I love love love this box. Im always finding new things to love. The body serum…. Awesome. I needed a femme umbrella.
Also. Thank you for your amazing site. I value your blog segments a great deal since they give me such good ideas. I need home and family inspirations. And i love your box run downs i wake every morning to check this site. And frequently during the day!
Thanks! Did you get your box yet?
No not yet. Its in label created status. But these are things i need. And its odd i know but i have a bit of an addiction to things in spray pump bottles. So this body serum i can not wait for. My girls are always dryish too, so ill just run after them and sprtiz them haha.
And an unbrella is not aomething id buy for myself. So. This box pleases me. I may also get something on the Mott site too. I was looking the other day. Would have been great to have had something for my mexico trip, my neck and shoulders took a sun beating.
I can’t wait, looks like a great box!
I also love your site! :). I love the personal touch you put into your blogs I feel like I know you which makes reading your posts all the better :). Thanks for the work you do to inform us!
Thank you! I do need to work on the spelling / grammar though! It seems right to me when I read and reread it right away and then I’ll read it again two days later and think WTF was I talking about?
Totally agree with Tara – I love your site, your humor, and the look into your family life. I check your site every day (way too many times a day!) Thanks for putting so much time and effort into it!
Pump the brakes, Linda!
Jennifer,
Thank you for all the reviews you do, and your blog. I always love checking your posts as soon as I get up, and the site throughout the day. Your reviews are fair, and on point, and your blog posts make me smile. Thanks again for a great job. As far as the PSMH April box, I’m still waiting for mine to come, but I love the curation.
Wow Linda take a chill pill! I love this site and think Jennifer does a great job! We are all human and make mistakes. Keep up the good work Jen!
i think linda needs to get laid
LOL. Best comment ever. I mean let’s not pretend that Pop Sugar subscription boxes are high brow educated meaningful to anyone in society at all things. It’s fun. Get a life.
I didn’t get this months popsugar box but I love your site. I read it daily and find it very personable. I do not think your reviews are getting worse and who doesn’t make the occasional typo.
Aww, thanks!
My goodness, how about a little bite with that bark. All of that over a few simple mistakes
I love MSA for some things, but when it comes to PSMH I always get excited for your review because I can’t wait for your take on it. Also your reviews on kids boxes are better since you have kids. Love your site thanks for doing a blog!
I never comment anymore but just wanted to say I have mad love for you Jennifer… & this blog! I’m still broken up with PS over the Neiman Marcus debacle but Rachel Zoe’s new box is helping heal the wounds!
Thanks! You guys are all the best!!!!
This is a nice box and a nice review. Let’s put that new umbrella up and let the snark roll right off. Smooth away the rough spots. Light a candle and clear the air. Pack up our troubles, and, grow a new attitude.
My box is coming sometime next week. I’m looking forward to trying out the produce candle.
I enjoy your reviews and I think you should have the ability to delete comments. What a negative person! Please don’t let it affect you. Or is it effect? I am sure she could tell me.
I love your posts about your thoughts as well as your reviews. Keep it up!!
I can delete comments if I want! I don’t mind. Not everyone is going to be happy and I am okay with that! As for effect and affect? I have NO IDEA! LOL. Just like run and ran. I try to pick other words to use instead….
Run is current tense and ran is past tense. Dunno about effect and affect.
Yes, can’t we all choose”click to report inappropriate comment” and hide or delete that ridiculous post??
I’m so glad to hear that I’m not the only person who reads this blog every morning and checks other times throughout the day… I thought I must be crazy! Well, maybe I am but I’m in good company! 🙂
Keep up the great work!
Geez Linda, having a bad day?
Jen I love your site. I usually check it several times a day to see if there is something new and exciting and first thing in the morning for sure. I love the fact you talk about your boys and dogs and and target and all the personal touches you add to this blog.
I check msa to but it is like eatting dry toast – just the facts ma’am, and this is more like a warm grilled cheese sandwich with a friend and and good convos and chocolate chip cookies and dr pepper.
First of all I have to join in and say that I look forward to checking my email every morning to read your newsletter, Jennifer. I am the opposite of a morning person and this is the only thing that gives me motivation to wake up! I love your reviews and I would’ve missed the Teen Mom premiere if it weren’t for you! Clearly, you and your blog are appreciated by many, I just wanted to throw my two cents in there too! Second, is everyone getting the blue bag or are there color variations?!
Love your blog. Read it multiple times a day! Thanks for helping me become a box addict! Ha ha!
Jennifer, thank you for your blog, I love it and check it daily!
Linda – your comment was uncalled for. I read MSA as well and love both blogs. But lately I have been turned off the negative comments on MSA. Too many comments like yours ripping every box, curator, etc apart.
Boxes are my “happy thing”. I do appreciate reading legitimate warnings about bad experiences. But please get the general crankiness out somewhere else!
Popsugar – in love!!! I too read your blog everyday and throughout the day! Thanks for all the updates and keeping us informed of the deals and fun things out there! Haters gonna hate, right?? Let’s all sing it with Taylor!
Ya know, now that I think about it, I could just *buy* the two items I love for less than the price of the box o_O; I guess this means I just need to subscribe to Ramblings to get the best of best <3
Umbrella + Garden in a Bag = Win. I just wish we knew what *kind* of basil. Drives me nuts when you ask people "Oh? You are growing x? What kind of x? And they say "…It's basil. Just ordinary basil." Is it Italian? Genovese? or *gasp* the Emily variety? Maybe I'm stuck up. I could accept that.
But if you say you are growing tulips, you usually at least provide a color with the description…:3
Uhh, I didn’t even know there were different types? It’s not stuck up though. You just like your basil. LOL. I searched the package and there is not one indication of anything else other than “Basil”!
I have been meaning to tell you – I’m so happy that you’re doing the PS giveaway with the spoiler post now. So, now, when you write the review, the comments are much more fun to read. Not just an answer to the giveaway question. I love reading the comments!!
As for this box, I am thrilled. Not sure if I’ll use the serum, but everything else is fun and practical. Love the polka dots on the umbrella and I have been burning the candle all day. Very nice choices.
Thanks for writing an awesome blog, Jen!!
The Garden-in-Bag is such a neat idea!! Now I need to buy one because I *NEED* to see if it works 😛
I completely agree with all the great things everyone has said. I check the blog everyday to see what’s going on in Jennifer’s world. It feels like I am hanging out with an awesome close friend. I love the personal touches–Two on Tuesday and Friday’s Letters are my favorites. Keep up the good work–because we can tell you put a lot of work and your heart into your blog.
I’m just catching up on reviews and I love your blog too! I especially look forward to reading the non-review entries. MSA can get a bit dull.
I read MSA too, but I definitely prefer your blog Jen! Much more personal. I read every post rather than just the one review I’m interested in. I agree with others that have said the influx in negative comments on the MSA site has been a turn off as well, but that’s the readers though, not Liz.
On another note, I love this box! I wish I would have bought it, but it sold out WAY too early for my taste. Not sure I want to pay two months early in advance to resubscribe. But maybe that will change with the 6 month Black Friday deal ending? One can hope! I miss the days of coupons and spoilers before the box sold out.
Jen, I love your blog and read it frequently. Just ignore the haters. It’s not worth spending your time on. How’s that for a dangling preposition?
On another topic, do you know if the flip & tumble bag came in any other colors? I think I’ve only seen blue, and the one I received is blue also. Just curious…
Also, has your PSMH box ever arrived damaged? My box this month looked like it had been broken open and appeared that someone had put it back together with a ton of packing tape. Nothing was broken, but the MOTT gift card was missing. I e-mailed them about it, so I’ll see what they say.
I have never received a damaged box from them, but I know some people have gotten missing boxes with missing items and POPSUGAR always fixes it!
I have had other boxes get damaged in shipping and sometimes the post office will repackage it into a totally different box!
