bluum, is a monthly box of goodies for moms and babies. Products are hand selected based on your child’s age (from pregnancy to preschool), gender and developmental stage. I have gotten bluum for years and while the boxes have had their ups and downs I have generally been pretty pleased with the boxes I have received from them.
bluum ships via FedEx Smart Post and generally takes about a week to arrive. I generally plan on receiving it during the second half of the month.
You really never know what you are going to get with bluum and I love opening the box for that reason! This box looked really good.
The card included in the bluum box doesn’t include product information. Rather, that information is sent to you in a e-mail on the day that you receive your box (although I haven’t gotten anything on this one yet) and it appears in your account online as well (mine isn’t showing there yet either though). WB’s May 2015 bluum box was for a 42 month-old (*) and included the following items:
~Grow It Book ($5.39): bluum has sent us quite a few of the books from the “Helping Hands” series and we love them. Any book for us is a good one.
~mudpuppy Finger Puppets (Robots) ($6.55): Both boys got a kick out of these. They are little finger puppets and also just cute little robot guys.
~Melissa & Doug Sunny Patch Happy Giddy Flip-Up Sunglasses ($4.94): WB saw these and could not get them out of the packaging fast enough. He’s obsessed. And the fact that they flip-up? OMG. That only makes them better!
~Crocodile Creek Eco Kids Monkey Insulated Food Jar ($17.95): WB wanted to have milk in this with his dinner tonight. LOL! We have a similar jar like this I have used for L’s lunch, but now WB has one too! It will work really well for keeping fruit cool this summer.
All totaled I came up with a value of $34.83 for the May 2015 bluum box. I really liked this box and thought they did a great job with our item selections this month.
Did you get bluum this month? What was in it and what’d you think? If you are interested in subscribing or just want to learn more, click here. And if you are a new customer, you can use the code “SPRINGHALF” (thank you Alicia) to save half off your first box, making it only $14.50.
I was also a member years ago when you just got random foil samples. It was honestly horrible. Last month I decided to try them again, they’re a lot better then they was but not great for us. My son is 3 and are box was not great. We received a Melissa and Doug stacking toy for a 18th month old! Also a Cloud B flashlight, flushable wipes, which were nice, then a bottle of conditioner and Detangler which they priced at $24! That’s crazy, and I don’t know if we will continue or not. I like Citrus lane a lot better.
Was the detangler in a pink bottle? I have received that in the past too. For my boys. Their hair is way too short to ever need that!
Nope mine was in a blue bottle, my boys hair is way too short as well! I thought that was crazy to send for a three year old boy! Especially since they claim it’s $24!
LOL I received the same box this month as Alicia only my flash light was replaced with a bumpkin lunch bag. We already have the stacker which for a 36 month old (I upped her age as well) is just too young. I bought a year subscription when it was on sale so I only paid $17 a box so hopefully there will be some better boxes soon. I had gotten so disappointed in Citrus Lane I had to switch but the box you reviewed with the vet dress up stuff looks awesome! E would love that right now so if it goes on sale I’m going to try them out.Jennifer your box was great!
