Fancy Box Mother's Day Box Review
Fancy Box Mother’s Day Box

My Mother’s Day Fancy Box arrived yesterday.  Fancy stopped offering their monthly Fancy Box boxes (they used to do celebrity curated ones and a regular monthly box), but every once in a while will offer a Limited Edition box. This is the Mother’s Day Fancy Box which comes in three sizes: Small ($100), Medium ($200) and Large ($500).  I opted for the Small box and only knew that it would contain products from “oDash, Senhoa, Assouline, Dannijo, Rifle Paper Co and more”!  That’s what the website said anyway.

Fancy Box shipped via FedEx Ground and took two days to get to me.  At the time I ordered the website states that “All orders received by April 22nd will have a guarantee delivery date of May 5th”. This did not happen as my box didn’t arrive until May 7th and I ordered way before April 22nd.  If I lived on the West Coast I would never have received this in time for Mother’s Day.

The Small Mother’s Day Fancy Box didn’t have an information card (it did have a little “Happy Mother’s Day note, but the following items were included:

~Laurel Canyon Candle by Cardinal Points ($22.98):  I love candles and I have never tried this brand before.  It smells earthy and clean and I really like it.

~Rifle Paper Co. Botanical Journal ($15): I thought I may have received this notebook somewhere before, but I think I was thinking of the matching coasters that came from POPSUGAR.  I love Rifle Paper Co. and am thrilled to get the journal in here.

~AdnArt Tea Party Mug ($13.77): While this looks super cool I don’t drink tea so I will never use it.  You can brew your tea right in it and then when it’s done you can put the trivet down to hold your tea while you drink it.  My cousin who is coming down today likes tea so I will give her this to take home.

~Katie Dean Jewelry Audrey Necklace ($39) and Audrey Earrings ($40): I love this necklace!  The earrings are growing on me.  Initially I wasn’t a fan, but they looked so pretty on the model.  I generally don’t wear dangly earrings, but I may be making an exception for these.

~Kitchen Surfing Free Dinner: The box also included a coupon code for a free meal from Kitchen Surfing.  I guess a chef comes to your house one night during the week and cooks it for you and someone else?  That seems like quite a deal for $50 which is what the coupon code is for.  Anyway, it’s only available in certain areas (New York, the Hamptons, Los Angeles, Boston, Seattle, Washington DC and Chicago) so I can’t use it.

All totaled I came up with a value of $130.75 for the Small Mother’s Day Fancy Box.  That’s over the $100 cost of the box (and I didn’t include the value of the Kitchen Surfing voucher since it’s unusable to me), but most of the value was because of the jewelry in the box.  Not a bad box, but I would have been much happier with it had it only been $50!

Did you get a Mother’s Day Fancy Box?  What size did you get and what was in it?  If you want to check out Fancy you can head over here to see what they have to offer.  The Mother’s Day Fancy Box is still available in all three sizes while supplies last.

I ordered the $100 box Thursday and it arrived today-Friday. I like everything except the earrings because my ears are not pierced. I didn’t check the Kitchen Surf code out.
