GLOSSYBOX May 2015 Subscription Box Review

GLOSSYBOX kindly sent me the May 2015 box to review early and I am so excited to share it!  GLOSSYBOX is a monthly beauty subscription box and includes five luxury surprise beauty items shipped to your door.   I have been a subscriber for years (in addition to getting review boxes I also pay for a subscription) and am always in awe at the value they pack into their boxes.

The Box

GLOSSYBOX ships via USPS and generally boxes ship in the second half of the month (as I mentioned I received this one early for review purposes).  Sometimes it’s the last week of the month and sometimes it’s closer to the 20th of the month.

First Look

I wasn’t too sure how GLOSSYBOX would top last month’s box (I just loved that one), but I had my fingers crossed this one would be fabulous.

The Information Card

The May 2015 GLOSSYBOX was a collaboration with CosmoBody and included the following items:

~Julep Nail Polish (Janet) ($14): Janet is a “Pale peach soft focus (semi-matte)”.  I don’t believe I have this color and if I do I don’t think I realized how much I loved it. With tanned (fake of course) skin, this will look fabulous.

~Sebastian StylBrid 9 Hairspray ($4.99): This product basically just launched and is a “multi-benefit hairspray”.  It holds hair, adds shine, offers curl definition, adds volume and texture and also provides heat protection.  It’s in an aerosol can, but it was more foamy (if that makes sense) than regular aerosol hair spray.  I think this is a fantastic item for your gym bag or while traveling since it’s so small and does so much!

~GlamGlow Powermud Dualcleanse Treatment ($19): GlamGlow is so expensive, but oh how I love it!  It looks super gross (think mud), but it always leaves my skin feeling so nice.

~Clearista Retexturizing Gel ($10): This is used after your regular cleanser but before a moisturizer and serum.  It is supposed to help smooth skin and refine pores and also reduce skin imperfections.  I haven’t used it long enough to see any real difference, but it’s worth a try.

~Doucce Mineral Matt Lipstick (Cherry Blossom) ($20): This is fantastic color! If I liked to wear lipstick I would pick a color like this.  It’s subtle, but really pretty!

All totaled I came up with a value of $67.99 for the May 2015 GLOSSYBOX!  With the exception of the lipstick which I will give to my, I will be using everything in this box.

What do you think of this month’s GLOSSYBOX so far?  Just a reminder, GLOSSYBOX has been sending out variations in boxes the last few months so don’t be surprised if your box is a little different than this one. All of the variations for this month can be found here and I am hoping a get a few different variations in my box that I purchased this month so I can try some of those other items!

I love Glossybox! May will be my 3rd one and it looks amazing! I imagine there will be a few variations on the nail polish and lipstick colors? I love the lipstick color you got! I’m a new member to Julep too (got my free welcome box in April and my May box arrived today – they have the fastest shipping!!) but I don’t have that color you got so I’d be ok with that. I’ve heard GlamGlow is awesome! And that hairspray looks nice – I’d like to try it.
Does anyone know how much variety there is in Glossybox products? Seems like they’re all usually ver similar unlike Birchbox & Ipsy.

I posted a link to all the different products this month. I think most people usually get the same 3 products and then the other 2 could be different. Sometimes they are all the same.

Love glossybox!! It is great! There is not too much variation at all. Just colors of products.

Yes I just received my very first glossy box n I was satisfied but the only thing I was a disappointed with was some of the products were very small trial sizes compared to the reviews I watched on U tube but over all I know I will be ordering again #HOOKED
