Love With Food, who kindly sent me this box to review, sends members a curated box filled unique gourmet food items. The “Tasting Box” is $12/month and offers with 8+ snacks and the “Deluxe” box is $19.95/month and includes 16-20 snacks. Love With Food also offers a Gluten-Free box for $29/month which includes 8-12 surprise gluten-free snacks each month. Each box brings new delights, with bites that vary based on seasonal themes. In addition, Love With Food donates a meal (some months is even two meals) to a child in need with each box purchased, which you can read more about here.  I received the May 2015 Gluten-Free Box to review.

First Look

I have only received the Gluten-Free box once before and I love seeing what differences it will have from the Tasting Box.

The Information Card

The May 2015 Love With Food Gluten-Free Box theme was “Fiesta, Fiesta” and included the following:

~Pico de Gallo Bean & Rice Chips by Beanfields: These chips are so good.  They have appeared in a few subscription boxes and I am a fan.  I used to think bean chips sounded so bad, but no, they are so good.

~Pure Seasoning by Montana Mex:  B is going to love this when he gets home!  I don’t BBQ – he does all that and I know he will want to try it so I am saving it for him.  Hopefully the weather is good the one weekend he’ll be home in June!

~Pink Guava and Coconut Fruit Ice by Smooze!: We received these in our Classic box this month as well and the boys loved them.  But I tried them and thought no way.  There was just a lot going on in them. But the boys are huge fans.

~Inka Corn by Inka Crops: Much to my surprise I liked these better than the other variations I have tried.  I think the little kick to them made them so much better.

~Penne Pasta by Schar: I don’t have a gluten intolerance so I am going to pass this on to a friend.

~Nuts About Berries Paleo Bar by Nogii: I have tried a few of these so far from various subscription boxes and this Strawberry one is my favorite.  SO far anyway.

~Hibiscus Creamed Honey by Vintage Bee:  This was in the tasting box and was amazing.  I am going to save this one for the next time we have bagels in the morning.

~Cook Simple Tamale Pie: I am not sure I have ever tried tamale pie?  But the more I look at it, the more excited I am about it. I think that the boys would actually like it too so maybe this week we’ll have it for dinner.

~Lemon Burst Cookies by Homefree: These cookies are my latest obsession.  If you haven’t tried them yet I highly recommend it.  They are the perfect balance of lemon and shortbread.  My only complaint was that each package only has 3 tiny cookies.

~Quinoa Puffs by Keenwah: If you need something with a little crunch to them, these may just do the trick.  I didn’t find them to be overfill flavorful, but I think they’d be a great addition to a salad in place of croutons.

~Hail Mary Almonds: The jury is still out on these. I don’t know if I liked the vanilla maple flavor or if I hated it. They were certainly different though.
