Love With Food May 2015 Tasting Box

Love With Food sends members a curated box filled unique gourmet food items. The “Tasting Box” is $12/month and offers with 8+ snacks and the “Deluxe” box is $19.95/month and includes 16-20 snacks. Love With Food also offers a Gluten-Free box for $29/month which includes 8-12 surprise gluten-free snacks each month. Each box brings new delights, with bites that vary based on seasonal themes. In addition, Love With Food donates a meal (some months they actually donate two meals) to a child in need with each box purchased, which you can read more about here.  This review is on the May Tasting Box.

The Box

Love With Food ships via USPS. Boxes typically ship on the 10th of the month (the box I purchase each month shipped yesterday), but I received this one a tad early for review purposes. If you order by the 1st of the month your box will arrive that month. If you order after the 1st, it will arrive the following month. Orders placed today will begin with the June box which ships around the 10th of June.

First Look

If you are new to Love With Food, you might be surprised at how small the box is when it arrives. At least I was anyways.  But they pack them super full and are always loaded with goodies.

The Information Card

The May 2015 Love With Food theme is “Fiesta! Fiesta!” and includes the following South of the Border inspires snacks:

~Pink Guava and Coconut Fruit Ice by Smooze!: My boys love these!  I am not sure that we’ve ever tried this flavor, but I am sure they will be more than happy to.  I am expecting my second box to arrive in a few days and I will freeze them both so the boys can each have one at the same time.

~Blood Orange and Ice Mint Candy by Go Organics: I love the blood orange flavor, but the ice mint isn’t as tasty for me.

~Inka Corn by Inka Crops: We’ve received these in various subscription boxes before and they are pretty good.  Not my favorite, but good.  B will probably end up taking these on the plane with him today.

~PB Thins by Bells Plantation: These are amazing.  The picture on the package made me think they were going to be super thin little slivers, but they are actual crackers.  Just tiny ones.  They have the perfect amount of peanut butter taste and make a great on the go snack.

~Lemon Burst Cookies by Homefree: These are also delicious. I love lemon cookies and these did not disappoint.  I will be ordering more of these for sure.

~Educational Snacks by Dick & Jane Baking Company: I don’t know if we really like these cookies or if we really like the educational part of them.  Maybe a little of both.  L thinks they are so neat and fun and so do I.

~Hibiscus Creamed Honey by Vintage Bee: I was surprised by how good this was.  I put this a bagel and loved it.  I may have to get more of these too.

~Spinach & Kale Corn Chips by The Better Chip: I first tried these in a FabFitFun box and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed them. They are similar to a tortilla chip, but are spinach and kale flavored.  I dislike kale chips normally, but these are different.
