As soon as I opened this up I called the boys in to see it.  I knew they would be super excited to try it on!

The May 2015 My Pretend Place (Neutral) theme was “Pirates” (it was Superhero items for Girls / Boys subscriptions ) and included the following:

~Melissa & Doug Pirate Costume ($29.99): How cute is this Pirate Role Play Set?  I love it!  And so did the boys.  They both tried it on (WB is 3 and L will be 7 tomorrow) and it works on both of them which is awesome.  I don’t know who loved it more?  Them pretending they were pirates or me watching them pretend they were pirates!  So fun.

~Pirate Coins (~$3): Every pirate needs treasure don’t they? The boys love this kind of stuff and will add it to the other “loot” they have.

~Treasure Chest Craft (~$5): The boys are both really anxious to paint this so it looks like I am going to be running out to get another treasure chest this week!  The stickers are half gone already thought because WB was running around the house wearing them on his face ;).

~How I Became A Pirate Book ($13.02): Such a cute book!  I am actually wondering if I could read this one to L’s class tomorrow?  It’s a silly story, which the kids will love, but at the same time it has a good message so it just might work.

All totaled I came up with a value of $51.01 for the May 2015 My Pretend Place “Neutral” subscription box.  We just love this box!  I like how it’s both a subscription and a craft box in one.  They do such a nice job with their selections too.

If you are interested in subscribing to My Pretend Place you can use the coupon code “pretend” to save 30% off your first box which brings the cost down to only $35!

We have the same book. I read it to my son’s 2nd grade class two years ago and they all loved it.

I LOVE this! Thank you for sharing, I’ve never heard of this company before! I love that they include a book! My LO wouldn’t know what a pirate is but after reading the book she would. I’ve added myself to their mailing list and I’ll keep a look out for their next themes.
