Although the name of the box is “30 Days of Candy“, I guess I didn’t really know what to expect when I opened this up. I thought I’d get enough candy for 30 days, but I didn’t realize it would be individually packaged and absolutely fabulous! I was so impressed with the first look I immediately wondered who I could tell about it. The box doesn’t include an overall information card and instead includes details on each of the individually wrapped packages. So cool! I broke down the box into 5 sections and decided to just tell you a little about each candy instead of giving you my thoughts on each. I tried some myself, had the kids try some and gave some away because it’s so much candy!
Here is what was included in the around the world themed 30 Days of Candy box:
Group #1
~The Jelly Bean Factory (Ireland): These jelly beans are all natural, fair-trade, and contain no artificial colors, GMO, fat, gluten and gelatin free.
~PEZ (Vienna): You know what PEZ is! My boys were thrilled about this one.
~Arcor (Argentina): Assorted fruit flavored taffies.
~Milkita (Indonesia): Milky hard candy (and a favorite of the 30daysofcandy.com guys)
~Walkers’ Toffee (England): Toffee
~Daylight Confectionery Company (South Korea): Fruit flavored hard candies. I also thought it was cool that the company that makes these is in Busan, South Korea which is where B spent the first few weeks of his Korea trip!
Group 2:
~Haribo (Turkey): We all love gummy bears around here. Whenever B goes to Europe for work a giant bag of these returns with him.
~Solidarity Confection Company (Poland): Little cow cream fudge.
~Sixlets (Canada): My brother was over soon after this box arrived and immediately went for the Sixlets! I can’t blame him though – they are fabulous.
~Okio (Malaysia): Fruit flavored gummies.
~Hi-Chew (Taiwan): Hi-Chews are described as a chewing gum that can be swallowed.
~Perfetti van Melle (Netherlands): Eggnog Toffees
Group #3
~KitKat (Japan): Green Tea KitKats. No matter how many times I try it, I still don’t love it.
~PecoU (France): Jordan Almonds.
~Napoleon (Belgium): Sour-Centered Candy
~Fresch (Morocco): The Moroccan version of Mentos!
~Milka (Switzerland): Milk Chocolate Bars
~Mishka Kosolapy: Almond Praline Wafers
Group #4
~Mondelez Daom (Sweden): Crunchy Almond Butter Toffee Bar (covered in milk chocolate). I can verify that this is just as delicious as it sounds.
~The Garden Brand (Hong Kong): Strawberry flavored hard candy with a soft center.
~Bit-O-Honey (USA): I probably don’t need to tell you what a Bit-O-Honey is!
~Colombina (Colombia): Chocolate filled caramels. Again these are just as amazing as they sound.
~Licorice Caramels (Norway): Strong dark licorice with caramel. L and I have been trying to talk each other into trying these, but so far neither of us has agreed to try them.
~Perugira (Italy): Fruit flavored hard candy.
Group 5
~Hirsch (Germany): Fruit basket taffies.
~Roshen (Ukraine): Fruit flavored “Jelly” candies. They have a “stiff” gummy exterior and a jelly center.
~Meihi (Singapore): Chocolate filled panda cookies. These have long been a favorite of mine and I had them right away.
~White Rabbit (China): Milk-Flavored Taffies
~Fazer (Finland): Marianne Mints (Hard Peppermint Shell with creamy caramel center or creamy chocolate center).
~Kopiko (Thailand): Coffee Candy. Four or five of these candies are the equivalent of one cup of coffee.
I didn’t do a cost breakdown on 30 Days of Candy, but I thought it was absolutely one of the coolest boxes out there. Figure the individuals bags are just over a $1 and you get to try SO MANY different varieties. This is such a fun idea! If you are interested in subscribing you can check them out here.
I couldn’t see getting a monthly box, but I think it’s a great idea for a birthday present for just a month. Will have to see if you can just get one box.
I received this box a couple weeks ago- and I think it’s SO fun! At night my husband & I split a package- read the info card & enjoy the international sweets. Also, if I have a little craving in the day- I can go grab just one little candy. I thought I’d gobble it all down- but I’m not. I’m skipping next month (so I can catch up) and then I’ll restart my sub. I’m surprised at how it’s satisfying this box is AND I haven’t gained any weight. Love it.
This looks so fun. I just don’t know if I want to spend that much on candy every month; well, I know I do, but I don’t know that I should!
What was the ‘fun and interesting theme’? Was it that they were from around the world? Or are they always from different countries?
