BarkBox June 2015 Subscription Box Review - "Space Camp" + Coupon Code
BarkBox June 2015 Subscription Box Review – “Space Camp”

BarkBox is a monthly subscription box for dogs. Each monthly box contains a combination of 4-6 treats, toys, and hygiene products that have been hand selected and approved by Scout (the dog), head product tester for BarkBox. All treats included in the boxes are sourced from the USA and Canada, and chews are sourced from the USA, Canada, South America, Australia and New Zealand, so you can be assured that your pet is only getting safe, high-quality items. Boxes can be customized based on the size of your pet (I get the Small box for the furries) and you can add an additional toy to your box for an extra $9/month. We have been getting BarkBox for ages and have always been satisfied with them.

The Box

BarkBox ships via DHL Global Mail (starts out with DHL and is delivered by the Post Office) and took just a few days to arrive this month. I generally expect it to arrive on or around the 20th of the month.

First Look

I can sometimes tell the theme of the box from the first look, but I couldn’t tell what this one was.

The Information Card

The June 2015 BarkBox theme was “Space Camp” (I would never have guessed that) and included the following items to help take you a galaxy far, far away:

~P.L.A.Y. Star ($9): This is a BarkBox exclusive so you won’t find it anywhere else.  It’s a good little size for my dogs and it seems really sturdy, so it’ll take them a while to rip this one apart.

~Planet Dog Orbee-Tuff Ringo ($13.95):  I am probably going to give this one to my brother (well to his dogs).  My dogs never seem to chew on rubber toys like this.  And they cannot, I repeat, cannot figure out how to get treats out of little treat spots like this!

~Your Dog’s Diner Pizza Pawty Crust ($6.99): I am just going to trust the package that these taste like actual pizza.  Baxter and Buddy LOVE pizza crust so hopefully they really do.

~Boxbi Peanut Butter Pocket Trainers ($7.99): We’ve already cracked into these and the dogs love them.  They are made in the USA and since there are only 4 calories per treat you can give your dogs a few at a time.

~Etta Says Crunchy Duck and Sweet Potato Bar ($3): These are a totally new item for us!  They are crunchy chew bars and are described as a great alternative to rawhide.  And they don’t stain the carpet like some dog treats so that’s a bonus.

All totaled I came up with a value of $40.93 for the June 2015 BarkBox.  That might be one of the most “valuable” BarkBox boxes I have received in ages.  And between my dogs and my brothers three dogs, we will use everything in here.  BarkBox always sends very high quality and I always feel safe giving them to the furries.
