bluum June 2015 Subscription Box

bluum, is a monthly box of goodies for moms and babies.  Products are hand selected based on your child’s age (from pregnancy to preschool), gender and developmental stage.  I have gotten bluum for years and while the boxes have had their ups and downs I have generally been pretty pleased with them and have stuck with my subscription.

The Box

bluum ships via FedEx Smart Post and generally takes about a week to arrive.  I generally plan on receiving it during the second half of the month.

Second First Look

Once of my favorite parts about bluum is that first look.  You really never know what you are going to get with them.

The Card

The card included in the bluum box doesn’t include product information. Rather, that information is sent to you in a e-mail on the day that you receive your box and in your account online as well.  WB’s June 2015 bluum box was for a 43 month-old (*) and included the following items:

~eeBoo Life on Earth 9 Piece Picture Puzzles ($14.95): WB set out to work on these right away.  We have been outside all afternoon and he needed a little break so he was thrilled so see these.  I loved that there are 9 different puzzles in here and each puzzle has it’s own slot in the box.  Also, all the the puzzles have different patterns on the back so it’s SUPER easy to match them all up.  We have way too many puzzles that don’t have this and it can turn into a big mess.

WB Playing

~Dig! Scoop! Pop-Up and Play! ($4.99): I wasn’t aware that you could even buy a pop-up board book for $4.99, but I guess you can! What a deal!  We have already read this a few times and I am sure we will read it a few more times before the day is over.  Pop-up books rock!

~shWings Linx Shoe Looms (~$10): I am not so sure about these?  I like the idea, but I don’t really know if L has any shoes that these would work with?  These could end up being traded.

~Dr. Suess One Fish, Two Fish Bowl ($4.99): WB and I are both oddly excited about this. WB thinks it’s cute and I am happy because I have recently realized that when I ask WB to throw away something, he throws the container away too.  So if he has a wrapper in a bowl and I tell him to throw the wrapper away, it’s all going in the trash.  Oops!

All totaled I came up with a value of $34.93 for the June 2015 bluum box.  I didn’t think this was their best box ever, but it was a solid one and we are happy with it!

Did you get bluum this month?  What was in it and what’d you think?   If you are interested in subscribing or just want to learn more, click here.  And if you are a new customer, you can use the code “SPRINGHALF” to save half off your first box, making it only $14.50.

(*) It’s a long story, but we used to get bluum ages ago when they just did those smaller sample sized boxes for 0-12 month olds. When WB was about 9 months, bluum launched their current box for ages 1+ and was still doing the sample boxes for babies 0-12 months old. I wanted to check out the new, bigger boxes for WB, so I aged him up a few months so he was 1. And he’s still aged up!
