Stitch Fix is a personal styling service for women. With Stitch Fix, you provide your style, size (they also now do maternity fixes), and budget preferences, and they will send you a package of stylish goodies to try on at home. There is a $20 styling fee that is applied to your order should you decide to keep any / all of the pieces.  If you don’t keep anything, you don’t receive a refund of the fee. And if you keep all of the pieces, you get a 25% discount on everything!  Also, I should mention that you are only charged once you “check out” at Stitch Fix.  You have a few days to try everything on and the box comes with a bag and a prepaid USPS return label so you can easily ship back the pieces you aren’t interested in.

I haven’t switched up my Stitch Fix profile in ages and I feel like it’s probably time.

The Information Card

Each Stitch Fix comes with an information card which includes a listing of everything in the box, prices, and then a total of how much everything would be if you kept it all (it deducts your $20 styling fee and the 25% discount for keeping all of your items).  Just to give you an idea, my box had a merchandise total of $266 and had I kept everything, I would have had to pay $179.50 (plus my $20 styling fee and that is taking into account the 25% discount you get for buying all of the pieces).  Here are the pieces I received:

~Zad Martin Mini Layered Metal Cuff ($28): I love this!  It’s so pretty and well-made and for $28?  Of course I am keeping this!  Verdict: Kept.

~Collective Concepts Mendolan Pintuck Detailed Jersey Tank ($58): I liked this tank when I opened the box and actually, the more I look at it, the more I like it.  It’s more than I would like to spend on a tank, but I am going to pretend I am applying my styling fee to this specific shirt, so really (but not really), it’s only $38. Verdict: Kept.

~Level 99 Patrick Cropped Chino Pant ($88): These are not me.  SO not me.  They are a pale blueish / grey chino and I’m not feeling it.  Nothing about these look good on me.  The pockets look weird, the color isn’t me, etc. Verdict: Returned.

~THML Maddox Crew Neck Top ($48): This top in a different cut?  Maybe.  But it’s beyond unflattering on me.  The arm holes are too big and it’s just way too boxy. Verdict: Returned.

~Market & Spruce Houston Split Back Knit Top ($44): I like pretty much everything about this, but I am not totally sure how often I would wear it.  I like the color, the stripes and I love the split in the back.  But I don’t “need” it, so I will be sending it back. Verdict: Returned.

Two of the items in my Stitch Fix this month were total misses, but two were also absolutely fantastic.  And one was good, but just not right for me right now.  I am happy with this Fix, happy with the items I kept and am looking forward to next month’s after I change up my profile a bit!

My first few Stitch Fixes were amazing when I first started a few months ago, now instead of getting better they’re getting worse a lot worse. They send me things I plainly say I don’t want in my profile and will not send me any of the stuff I ask for. I have tried fixing it and have my Pinterest linked to it, nothing works. As much as I hate to I might cancel and try Wantables out. Also I love that bracelet too, I got it in my first fix!
