BarkBox July 2015 Subscription Box Review - "Circus" + Coupon Code
BarkBox July 2015 Subscription Box – “Circus” + Coupon Code

BarkBox is a monthly subscription box for dogs. Each monthly box contains a combination of 4-6 treats, toys, and hygiene products that have been hand selected and approved by Scout (the dog), head product tester for BarkBox. All treats included in the boxes are sourced from the USA and Canada, and chews are sourced from the USA, Canada, South America, Australia and New Zealand, so you can be assured that your pet is only getting safe, high-quality items. Boxes can be customized based on the size of your pet (I get the Small box for the furries) and you can add an additional toy to your box for an extra $9/month. We have been getting BarkBox for ages and have always been satisfied with them.

The Box

BarkBox ships via DHL Global Mail (starts out with DHL and is delivered by the Post Office) and took just a few days to arrive this month. I generally expect it to arrive on or around the 20th of the month.

First Look

This month’s BarkBox seemed to be a bit delayed, but I knew it would eventually appear.  The dogs, however, were dying for it to arrived and about pounced on this box when it was delivered yesterday.

The Information Card

The July 2015 BarkBox theme was “Circus” and included the following items:

~Emerald Pet Piggy Twizzies ($4): Twizzles are made in the USA and are 100% digestible.  They are described as a great alternative to rawhide, bully sticks, and chicken jerky.  This is the first I have heard of these and I am hoping the dogs love them.

~Lucky Dog Grain Free Roast Duck Treats ($9):These treats are all-natural, made in the USA and will be perfect for my brother’s dogs.   My dogs like softer treats more, plus I have cat box for my brother’s cats and I would take for the dogs to feel left out.

~My Doggy Cheesy Cookies ($6.99): The dogs loved these.  I opened them up right away and their tails were wagging like crazy.  They are soft and cheesy and wheat free.  The packaging on them is a little funky and I thought maybe they were open, but it was almost like the actual package had a wrapping on it and that’s what came off.

~BarkMade Bearded Lady ($13): This was the only item in the box I felt was at all circus themed.  It’s totally adorable and made me laugh when I saw it in the box.  The (little) boys thought it was silly too!

~Zigoo Pets Veggout ($10): This is a baby carrot and treat dispensing toy.  My dogs aren’t baby carrot fans, but I think they’d like some peanut butter stuffed in there!

All totaled I came up with a value of $42.99 for the July 2015 BarkBox.  That’s high value for BarkBox and while I didn’t think this box related much to the theme (which is unusual for them), I enjoyed it.  Everything was high-quality and I never have to worry about where the treats or toys they include are made.

Do you subscribe to BarkBox?  What’d you think of this month’s box?  If you want to subscribe or learn more, click here.
