FabFitFun Summer 2015 Subscription Box

fabfitfun is a quarterly monthly subscription box that includes hand-selected items (the “hottest of the season”) in beauty, fashion, fitness and wellness from the fabfitfun team. fabfitfun is $49.99/quarter and beginning with their Summer 2014 box, they ship to Canada!

The Box

fabfitfun ships via FedEx Smart Post and took under a week to arrive.  I was actually surprised by how quickly it arrived to me – with the holiday and all.  Boxes were supposed to ship the week of June 22nd, which I thought meant ALL boxes would ship that week, but they started with annual subscribers first and then quarterly subscribers boxes were shipped after that. I think my box ended up shipping on the 29th?

It’s been so long since we originally had gotten the spoilers on this box that I almost forgot what was all in it!  It was packed full and looked like a good box to me.

The Information Card

The Summer 2015 fabfitfun box included the following items:

~Wren 14K Gold and Black Sapphire Necklace ($100): I think this is cute and I am happy with it, however, I would never pay $100 for a gold-dipped necklace.  At least I don’t think I would?  Anyway, I love the Rose Gold Heart and didn’t realize it had a Black Sapphire in it until it arrived so that was a fun surprise. And I like that this piece is simple and delicate and can be worn in any setting (unlike the bullet necklace which I know a lot of people were not about to wear in a professional setting).

~The Everyday Wireless Speaker by FabFitFun ($29.99): I am really excited about this one.  I love having Pandora on when we are out playing in the backyard and my phone speaker just doesn’t cut it.  B has a bigger one that sounds great, but it’s kind of a pain to lug around.  This is much better.  Sure the sound isn’t as good, but it’s just fine for my purposes.

~Inkling Scents Sultry Roll-On Oil Perfume ($25): Getting perfume in a subscription box is generally pretty iffy, but I really like this.  It’s described as a blend of “creamy sandalwood, white amber, lotus flower, orchid, Bulgarian rose and silky vanilla” and is gorgeous.  I would prefer a spray over a roll-on, but I am just happy I like this scent so much.

~Gorge “I’ll Make You Look Amazing” Daily Spray ($24.95): My hair is looking pretty healthy these days, but this spray is a leave-in conditioner designed to restore moisture and repair all types of damage. I have been letting my hair air dry which I think helps a ton, but when I break out the hair dryer again I will break this out too.

~tarte LipSurgence Lip Gloss (Natural Beauty) ($19): I believe there were a variety of shades sent out, but I love the one I got.  It’s called “Natural Beauty” and is a sheer shimmering red. Totally love.

~FabFitFun x CosmoBody Jump Rope ($14): I would love to pretend that I am going to use this in the basement to get my fitness on, but I am not.  In reality L will probably use it to tie a wagon to the back of his bike or something?

~Scratch Nail Wraps ($12): Meh. I like nail wraps, but I am not too crazy on the designs on this one.  Actually the triangle designed ones are fine. It’s the single red triangle on the top of the plain ones that I am not crazy about.  I suppose I could just not apply that part, but then my nails would be just pale pink and then what’s the point of using nail wraps?

~Headspace 3-Month Subscription ($38.85): Headspace is a app that takes you through a series of life-changing guided meditations.  I really can’t see myself using this, but I probably should?

~Hello Konjac Cleansing Sponge ($12): I have gotten a few Konjac sponges lately, but I don’t mind another. Maybe I will give this one to B to see what he thinks?  I am a big fan of them and have been using them on my face instead of my Clarisonic.

~SponsoredIntensive Care Spray Moisturizer with Aloe by Vaseline ($6.49): I have tried this in the past, but I didn’t love it.  It just didn’t spray out in the steady steam I hoped for I guess?  I will give it another chance though and who knows, maybe I will love this scent more than the last.

All totaled I came up with a value of $282.28 for the Summer 2015 fabfitfun box.  It wasn’t my favorite box from them, but it was a totally solid box.  My three favorite items – the speaker, the perfume and the lip gloss totaled well over the cost of the box and I would have happily paid full-price for those, so basically everything else was just a bonus for me!

What do you think of fabfitfun?  What was your favorite item from this box?  If you haven’t yet subscribed but want to get signed up (you’d receive this Summer box as your first one) you can use the coupon code “JULY4” to get a free FabFitFun Fruit Infusing Water Bottle ($30 value) and a Pur~lisse pur-protect SPF 30 ($55 value) (expires 7.6.15) or “FFF10” to save $10 off your first box.
