ipsy July 2015 Subscription – “Summer Lovin'”

ipsy is $10/month and sends its members a beautiful Glam Bag with 4-6 deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products. Their bags always have an incredible value (well over the $10 cost) and I am always amazed at how they do it. I don’t always love everything in the bags, but I always always think it was worth my $10.

The Bag

ipsy ships around the 10th of the month via DHL Global Mail. I generally expect to receive my package a week after they ship. DHL Global Mail is pretty slow.

The Information Card

The July 2015 ipsy theme was Summer Lovin’ and contained the following items:

~Eau Thermale Avène Cleanance Gel Soapless Cleanser ($2.48): I love cleansers! I think it’s my favorite item in the box this month. This is a perfect size for traveling and it’s for blemish prone skin, which is exactly what I have.

~Teeez Cosmetics Read My Lips Lipstick (Killing Me Softly) ($22): Meh. If I wore lipstick I wouldn’t mind this, but I just don’t, My SIL, however, loves lipstick and loves that I don’t love it because it means she gets it all!

~Crown Brush Professional Tweezers ($10.50): I wish I would have remembered I was getting tweezers in here because I literally just bought a new pair over the weekend. I guess now I have two fresh pairs. I will keep one in my travel bag and one in my bathroom.

~City Color Cosmetics HD Powder ($3.42): This is used to “set” your foundation for a flawless look. I don’t wear a ton of foundation so I will be passing this on to a friend.

~Jor’el Parker Classico ($21): I love Harvey Prince, but I have to say, I am on HP overload. It’s been in so many boxes lately! This one is kind of spicy (while still being sweet and a little floral) and I don’t love it as much as I enjoy some of the other Harvey Prince fragrances. I will wear it every once in a while though. It could be one of those scents you have to be in the mood to wear.

~The Bag: I think ipsy has really been stepping up their bags these last few months. They always used to be the same size, shape and material, but not anymore. I love everything about this bag – the colors, the pattern, the size, everything!

The Bag

All totaled I came up with a value of $59.40 for my July 2015 ipsy bag. The value was awesome (as usual), but it wasn’t a home run bag for me.  It just wasn’t my favorite.  I saw a lot  of other bags that would have been a better fit for me personally.  Maybe I shouldn’t look at the other products ipsy sends out though so I wouldn’t even know what I was missing!

I keep an extra pair of tweezers in my car. I always think things are fine in my bathroom and then I see my eyebrows in the sunlight in my rearview mirror. Yikes lol.

I pluck while in the car line at school…best lighting EVER!!

I’m thinking of taking a break on Ipsy for a bit. Does anyone know how hard it is to resubscribe?

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Teeez. I’m so disappointed that I stopped subscribing once it got fantastic! 🙁

Mine was completely different from yours! Our only match was the perfume. Agree, it’s a so-so scent. I also got an eye pencil/shadow stick, nail polish in a pretty bright pink, a tinted lip balm, and something else I can’t remember right now. I’ve been loving the bags lately too!

I was going to cancel after this month cause I already paid, then BEST BAG EVER…love the cleanser (received it first birchbox), everything I can use…lip balm, scent, shadow and Tarte bronzer which I was hoping for. It’s like they knew I was about to bounce!!

You got a great bag! I love the look of that lipstick, I’ll try to swap for it on the MSA swap site. I got sea salt spray (but it leaked everywhere), the Tarte bronzer, lip balm, the Avene cleanser (it’s my fave!), and the same setting power that you got. I think I lucked out and got a great bag. Ipsy’s customer service is great too and they’re sending a new sea salt spray since mine leaked.

I also received the same perfect, it’s just okay as well. I DID get the Aurora gel effect nail polish, in the bright orangey/pink/red …. lol ? Not a polish fan …. Love the Jelly Pong Pong, great stuff from them as always! The Be A Bombshell in French Kiss, but I was really hoping for the red, AOL a great lip Balm though! Hoping to swap for a different color! And the Pur-leiss face serum, can’t wait to try that! 🙂 awesome Bag!

Sorry about the tips typos! Darn auto correct! 🙁 haha

Totally agree with you. My choices were not me at all and I hate seeing others bags with awesome products in them! But as you said it is only $10 and I always need a new cosmetic bag 🙂
