ipsy July 2015 Subscription Review - "Summer Lovin'"
ipsy July 2015 Subscription – “Summer Lovin'”

ipsy is $10/month and sends its members a beautiful Glam Bag with 4-6 deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products. Their bags always have an incredible value (well over the $10 cost) and I am always amazed at how they do it. I don’t always love everything in the bags, but I always always think it was worth my $10.

The Bag

ipsy ships around the 10th of the month via DHL Global Mail. I generally expect to receive my package a week after they ship. DHL Global Mail is pretty slow.

First Look

ipsy doesn’t include a product information card. Rather, they send a generic card and all of the detailed product information can be found in your account online.

The Information Card

The July 2015 ipsy theme was Summer Lovin’ and contained the following items:

~Eau Thermale Avène Cleanance Gel Soapless Cleanser ($2.48): I love cleansers! I think it’s my favorite item in the box this month. This is a perfect size for traveling and it’s for blemish prone skin, which is exactly what I have.

~Teeez Cosmetics Read My Lips Lipstick (Killing Me Softly) ($22): Meh. If I wore lipstick I wouldn’t mind this, but I just don’t, My SIL, however, loves lipstick and loves that I don’t love it because it means she gets it all!

~Crown Brush Professional Tweezers ($10.50): I wish I would have remembered I was getting tweezers in here because I literally just bought a new pair over the weekend. I guess now I have two fresh pairs. I will keep one in my travel bag and one in my bathroom.

~City Color Cosmetics HD Powder ($3.42): This is used to “set” your foundation for a flawless look. I don’t wear a ton of foundation so I will be passing this on to a friend.

~Jor’el Parker Classico ($21): I love Harvey Prince, but I have to say, I am on HP overload. It’s been in so many boxes lately! This one is kind of spicy (while still being sweet and a little floral) and I don’t love it as much as I enjoy some of the other Harvey Prince fragrances. I will wear it every once in a while though. It could be one of those scents you have to be in the mood to wear.

~The Bag: I think ipsy has really been stepping up their bags these last few months. They always used to be the same size, shape and material, but not anymore. I love everything about this bag – the colors, the pattern, the size, everything!

The Bag

All totaled I came up with a value of $59.40 for my July 2015 ipsy bag. The value was awesome (as usual), but it wasn’t a home run bag for me.  It just wasn’t my favorite.  I saw a lot  of other bags that would have been a better fit for me personally.  Maybe I shouldn’t look at the other products ipsy sends out though so I wouldn’t even know what I was missing!
