~Good evening! It’s hot here! I so shouldn’t have complained about having to wear a hoodie last week. The boys and I went outside to play this morning and after about 15 minutes we’d had enough.
~Has anyone started / finished Go Set A Watchman yet? What’d you think? I am debating if I want to pick it up and am curious to hear everyone’s thoughts!
~Did you hear that today is the 20th Anniversary of Clueless? As if! How is that even possible? Oh how I loved that movie. I still do actually. Remember her cool closet where she could pick out the outfits from her computer? I’m still jealous of that. It seriously never gets old. Maybe I will watch it tonight. It’s gotta be on Netflix right?
~Today also happens to be National Ice Cream Day! Between Clueless and National Ice-Cream Day, wow, what a day. I let the boys have ice-cream before dinner because, well, why not? I am pretty sure that L is marking down this day on his calendar for next year – so we don’t forget.
~I didn’t get around to updating the subscription box list this weekend so that will have to wait until tomorrow. There are lots of new boxes to add though and also a few closures. I am still shocked by the number of subscription boxes that open up every week. Crazy!
That’s all for now! I hope you are having a good night!
Is that a target pool..wishing I’d bought one of those little rubber deals at 90 off..lol
I have been hesitant to read Go Set a Watchman. Well of one thing, book reading has been super slow with the kids home. Its just not happening. Im stuck 2/3s into The Dark Horse and its driving me insane because i need to finish everything i start. But. I have read some poor reviews and they deacribe it as sluggish. Some brilliant passages but mostly not. More of a rough draft. So. I may read it after i get a break from summer
And Clueless!!! Classic. I adore that movie! I may watch it for some chuckles.
And i didnt initially mention i have a few friends who refuse to read the book due the controversy behind the publishing. But thats not really a contributing factor to my hesitation
Did you see Clueless in the theater? I remember coming home from college and dragging my now hubby and his brother and their best friend. LOL yep I took 4 boys with me to see it the first time. I have no idea how I managed to get to pick the movie that day but so glad I did. I’m sure it has to be on Netflix or something but of course I have it upstairs on the shelf too so I could always grab it up there.
Oh and with Clueless and AntMan this weekend I am totally loving all the Paul Rudd pictures out there. I love me some Paul Rudd.
I LOVE Paul Rudd!
Ugh, I went to both of the closest Targets to me and they were wiped out and still only at 30-50% off. Maybe it’s because we’re in Texas so it’s pretty much summer forever? lol
I’m not going to read Go Set A Watchman. Everything I want to say here would be spoilers, so I will just leave it at that.
I have read the book. It is more interesting to me to see it as a prelude to what became To Kill a Mockingbird, but it is hard not to read it as a sequel since the events happen later. It’s clearly unfinished/unedited, but it does have its moments and is sadly all too relevant even today.
I haven’t checked out the Target clearance. I need to watch Clueless again! Maybe sometime this week I will.
