Target Beauty Box Review - "Head of the Class"
Target Beauty Box – “Head of the Class”

My Target “Head of the Class” Beauty Box arrived today! Target Beauty Boxes are $5 each and are available through Target’s website for a limited time only. The two latest “Back to College” boxes (this being one of them) went on sale on Monday (July 13th) and are already sold out. I am not sure if there is any set schedule on when they release boxes, but they did them in April, June and July of 2015.

The Box

Target Beauty Box ships via USPS and took just a few days to arrive to me. My last Target Beauty Box order (in June) went through on the Target website, but ended up being canceled because they were out of stock. They sent out a $10 gift card to apologize (which was more than the cost of the $5 boxes), but I was really excited to get this one in the mail.

Target reveals the contents of their Beauty Boxes at the time they go on sale, so opening it is never a surprise.  However, I am always impressed by the presentation and packaging of this box.

The Information Card

The Target “Head of the Class” Beauty Box included the following must-haves and cannot live without items:

~Goody Ouchless Elastics: These are a total and complete must have item.  If I were stranded on a desert island and could bring one luxury item, it would be a tough call between lip balm and these.  They don’t get all caught up in my hair and don’t stretch out like crazy.  And if you happen to lose them it’s not a big deal because they don’t cost a fortune.

~Bathery Pumice Stone ($1.99): A fresh pumice stone is always a good thing! This isn’t an expensive item either, but it’s a good thing with this too because it lets you replace them frequently (which I think is necessary).

~Hollywood Fashion Tape: Hollywood Fashion Tape rocks.  I used to use this exact tape all the time when I worked.  It really does fix that gap you get on button down shirts.  You know the one I am talking about!

~Covergirl Colorlicious Lip Gloss (Give Me Guava) ($5.99): I believe there were a variety of shades sent out, but Give Me Guava is perfect for me. It’s a very very sheer peach / nude and is super glossy.

~wet n wild Max Volume Plus Mascara ($4.99): I have about 10 mascaras open right now so I didn’t think I should open this one right away.  Although, I do have about 30 open lip glosses and still opened the one in this box.  It’s supposed to strengthen lashes and give you 10x the volume.  For $4.99, it might be a fun one to grab next time you are at Target.

~Herbal Essences Wild Naturals Illuminating Dry Oil Spray ($5.99): This gloss hydrates and seals each strand to give hair a radiant, glossy look. Not only does it really work (you can apply it to either dry or damp hair) it also smells fantastic.  So good!

~Yes To Cucumbers 10-Count Wipes ($2.99): The Yes to Cucumbers wipes are my favorite wipes in the “Yes To” family.  They remove makeup and cleanse skin at the same time.  These are awesome for traveling or those nights when you are so exhausted from studying (lol) that you just can’t do anything else.

I couldn’t do a full breakdown on this box, but the Target website values it at $20.  That sounds about right to me and I loved it!  These boxes are so worth the $5 cost.  This one also included a $3 off $15 Target Beauty purchase (it expires on 8.23.15) which of course I will use as well! As I mentioned this box is now sold out, but I will post as soon as Target releases another Beauty Box!
