FAIR Treasure ships via USPS and generally arrives in the first half of the month.
The first look was a good one. I din’t know what everything was, but I liked what I could see.
The August 2015 FAIR Treasure was “The Nesting Box” and included the following items:
~Brass Animal Bottle Stopper ($10): One thing that I haven’t received a ton of in subscription boxes are wine bottle stoppers. So I was thrilled to see this in here. It is made in Cape Town, South Africa by Swahill Imports, which has grown into one of Africa’s biggest casting producers.
~Color Block Tea Towel: This color block tea towel is made by the artisans at Matr Boomie. I love the pattern on the towel and I love the pom-poms on it even more. Matr Boomie provides their artisans a steady, reliable, fair income and skills training to enhance their positions economically and socially.
~Fresh Flower Bud Vase ($6): This vase is made by the Association for Craft Producers (ACP) in Kathmandu, Nepal. They provide design, marketing, management, and technical services to low income Nepalese craft producers. I think the vase is very cute and hopefully it will help remind me to keep fresh flowers in the house.
I couldn’t find prices for everything online, but I really enjoyed this box. I thought the variety was great and it included a lot of very useful items.
