GlobeIn releases spoilers so (if you want) you will know exactly what is coming in this box. It didn’t make me any less excited to open it up though!
The August 2015 GlobeIn theme was “Laundry” and included the following items to help you reconnect with a sense of gratitude at the joy of washing and to think of laundry as a small daily ceremony of renewal in harmony with the environment:
~Wool Dryer Balls (Kyrgyzstan) ($15) & Organic Cotton Bag (India) ($2.50): I love dryer balls. These are HUGE ones! I don’t know if you can see it from the picture, but they are giant. They are probably double the size of the other dryer balls I have. They really do reduce the time your clothes need to spend in the dryer and if you want, you can add a few drops of essential oils to them to leave a nice scent on your things.
~Upcycled Laundry Bag (Cambodia) ($25): This bag is also huge. Like it would easily fit a week’s worth of laundry in it. It doesn’t zip (a few people had asked if it did), but it stands up nicely on it’s own and I don’t think you’d have to worry about things falling out of it. The bag is made out of recycled cement bags and I think it is so cool. It’s sturdy and seems like it will last for ages.
~Soap Nuts (Nepal) ($2): Soap nuts are used in place of laundry detergent and are good for 4-7 uses. Just place them in the included bag and wash like normal. The information card that came along with this stresses that they are NOT to be used with fabric softener or dryer sheets as they are a source of allergens and carcinogens. If you need to treat stains they recommend using bleach or Oxyclean (it’s non-toxic).
~Palm Leaf Basket (Mexico) ($12): While I like these baskets and appreciate the craftsmanship, I am at a loss at what to do with them every month. If you get GlobeIn, what do you do with them?
All totaled I came up with a value of $56.50 for the August 2015 GlobeIn box. I thought this box was very useful and I loved the “Laundry Hacks” that were included in the information book. Did you know that using a teaspoon of pepper in your brights load will prevent colors from bleeding. Or that you can try soaking shrunken clothes in a bucket of water with a few drops of hair conditioner to help persuade them back to size? I am also fascinated by that kind of stuff. Do you have any secret laundry tips you’d be willing to share?

I can’t wait to get my box! This all looks fabulous.
I’ve only gotten 2 baskets from 2 months of the subscription and here’s what I use them for: One is in the kitchen and holds produce and snacks. The other is on my bedside table and holds remote controls, body lotion, hand lotion, pens, and coasters. I think I’ll use the next one as a gift box. I’m sending my sister a bunch of stuff from subscription boxes that I’m not using, since she rarely buys beauty products or jewelry for herself but loves getting them (and I have way too many because of my addiction). Most of it should be able to fit in this basket I think, and the rest I’ll just include in the shipping box.
I’d save them for the holidays. Add a package of cookies to them or even some nail polish products. They make adorable gift packaging.
I found this…

More uses than I thought of ^
Here are my suggestions:
One is by the toilets holding a roll.
Another some nail polishes and stuff for mani/pedis.
Another for the kids small toys and/or go to snacks.
