Julep is a monthly nail polish subscription service. They offer a “My Maven” box for $24.99/month which contains $40+ worth of product and polish or “Maven Luxe” for $39.99/month which contains $60+ of prestige products. Both boxes are fully customizable and you have the option to switch between tiers. Subscribers prior to 4/29/14 were grandfathered in at the $19.99/month rate, however, they will need to upgrade to the $24.99 subscription if they want to customize their boxes. I finally decided to upgrade to the $24.99 subscription a few months ago so I am now able to customize my box.
Julep ships via FedEx Smart Post out of Ohio and took just a few days to arrive to me.
I opted for some add-ons again this month so my box was packed full! There didn’t seem to be any card in the box relating to this month’s theme, but it did have some information on Julep’s new Brave Pretty (#bravepretty) campaign. I did the customized box option this month and selected the following:
~Laure – Wonder Maven ($11.20 / $14): Laure is a blazing red-orange stardust. It’s gorgeous. It’s got almost an orange glitter in it. It’s probably the first one from this collection that I will use.
~Mari – Bombshell ($11.20 / $14): Mari is a peony linear liquid holographic. It’s so unlike any other color i have. It’s a beautiful deep pink – almost mauve glitter.
~Penny – Classic With A Twist ($11.20 / $14): Penny is a burnished bronze metallic. It’s not as orange as an actual penny, but it’s a really cool color that will be great for fall.
~Add-Ons: As usual I opted for some add-ons this month. I selected the Luxe Lip Treatment, the Bareface Cleansing Oil and the Tam-Tams Trio. I received “Lee” (a spitfire red crème) as my bonus gift.
All totaled my August 2015 Julep Maven had a value of $33.60 using Maven pricing (or $42 using non-Maven pricing). I thought this collection was gorgeous and love the discounts they offer on the add-ons!
