Mommy Mailbox subscription boxes are carefully curated to make all mom’s lives better, easier and sweeter. Boxes contain products which typically retail for between $55-$75 and each box contains 4-6 surprise gifts that change each month.
Mommy Mailbox ships via USPS during the first week of the month (or the last few days of the previous month). I don’t believe I received a shipping notice on this one – it just appeared in my mailbox.
Not much to look at here. I do love the presentation of their boxes though!
The August 2015 Mommy Mailbox theme was “Embellish” and was curated by Becki Crosby of Whippy Cake. The box contained the following items:
~Dia’s Jewels Starry Night Necklace (~$22): Each piece from the Dia’s Jewels line helps women rescued from human trafficking. I do feel like Mommy Mailbox sends a lot of chunky necklaces out, but I really like this one. And I love the cause.
~BAGGU Makeup Bag ($8): I kind of giggled when I saw this because I have gotten a few of them (different patterns) in other subscription boxes recently. They are great though (very roomy and easy to clean) and now I believe I have enough for everyone in the family to have their own.
~Grey Ghost Bakery Lemon Sugar Cookies (~$2): These cookies have been in a few boxes as well and I was thrilled to see them again. I LOVE lemon cookies and these are great. They have a perfect amount of lemon taste and sugar crystals. So good!
~OFRA Cosmetics Laguna Beach Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick ($19.90): This is for sure more creamy than glossy and does seem to last a long time after it’s applied. I love the color and while I am normally not fan of lipsticks, I will be keeping this.
~OFRA Cosmetics Nude Lipliner ($13): Lipliner is typically not a product I use, but this one is nice. It’s “nude” so it’s not meant to stand out – which I like. It mainly helped stop my gloss from bleeding.
All totaled I came up with a value of $64.90 for the August 2015 Mommy Mailbox. I enjoyed the contents of the box, but I wasn’t as into it as I was last month’s box. It didn’t have any new discoveries for me in it, but I will use everything in it so that’s always a win.
