Olfactif is a monthly perfume subscription box. Each month subscribers receive some of the finest and hardest-to-find perfume samples from niche artists around the world. Samples are contained in 2.25mL glass vials and each vial has enough for 15 – 20 wearings. In addition, you will receive an $18 credit to put toward a full bottle of a featured scent, every month.
Olfactif ships via USPS around the 1st of the month. If your first purchase is before the 15th of the month they will ship out your collection immediately. Otherwise your first box will ship around the 1st of the following month.
As usual with Olfactif the packaging was gorgeous. The box included a card with information on Olfactif’s new subscription for Men! It’s just like the woman’s version I receive monthly from them, except they are men’s colognes.
The August 2015 Olfactif theme was “Earth, Wind, Fire” and included the following scents:
~The Good Earth Atelier de Geste: Notes on this one include galbanum, fresh leaf bouquet, geranium, peony, bamboo, opoponax, and precious moss oil. Elle Magazine has called it The Scent of the Summer! It smelled very grassy and floral to me and I didn’t love it at first. But after about ten minutes it settled it and smelled great. Still grassy and floral, but better.
~What I Did on My Holidays – 4160 Tuesdays: Notes on this one include mint, coconut suntan lotion, sea air, lavender, candy floss, vanilla. This smells so sweet at first, but it calmed down a ton when it dried down. I think it’s my favorite of the bunch. Very summery.
~Dark Horse – Dame Perfumery: Notes on this one include bergamot, lemon, cinnamon, jasmine, carnation, rose, clove, guaiac wood, vetiver, vanilla, and musk. I don’t know quite how to describe this one. There was a lot going on. I could pick up the cinnamon in it and a little vanilla. I thought it was more of a winter scent, but I did like it.
