First Look

I always get excited to see the “Benefit” when I open the box.  I thought this month’s was a candle when I first peeked in the box, but I thought wrong.

The August 2015 ToGoSpa Society included the following items:

~The Eyes ($55): As usual, I love “The Eyes”.  They reduce puffiness instantly and feel amazing on tired eyes.  I like to pop them in the fridge in the summer to get some extra relief from the heat.

The Eyes

~The Face ($35): “The Face” is basically the “Eyes”, but for your entire face.  If you think the eyes are refreshing, try the Face!  If you didn’t get enough sleep, were on a long flight, etc. the Face will help you.  It refreshes and hydrates your skin and I find the time I spend with it on very relaxing.  That’s probably because I just lay down and do nothing, but it’s a good way to recharge.

~The Benefit: Ola Tropical Apothecary Coconut Body Butter ($29): Based on the lid I thought this was a candle, but it turned out to be a fabulous lotion. It’s got the most incredible tropical smell (a combination of coconut and lemongrass) and I found it to be very hydrating.  Mine needed to be stirred before using, but that’s easy enough to do.

All totaled the August ToGoSpa had a value of $119.  For the $65 price tag that is an awesome deal!  If you buy the Eyes / Face anyway or even if you just want to give them a try, you might as well go ahead and get the subscription because the savings is fantastic.  Plus you get the Benefit which is always a great, high-quality item.

Have you tried ToGoSpa?  What did you think?  If you are interested in subscribing you can head over to their site and use the coupon code “Ramblings5” to get $5 off a box without Face Masks or “Ramblings10” to save $10 off a box with Face Masks.

I loved this subscription until I found out that the main product, the Eyes, are made in Peoples Republic of China.
MAJOR deal breaker right there for me. Your viewpoint of Chinese made items close to your eyes may be different.

First, we’d like to thank Ramblings for such an awesome and thoughtful review!! We appreciate that so much!!

And.. we’d like to address Lilly’s comment. It’s somewhat offensive to insinuate that there might be some risk in using our product because of where it was made. In the past 8 years we have sold millions of Eyes, and we have NEVER, not ever, had one single report of any kind of reaction from our product. Our factory is GMP Certified, and follows all GMP practices and procedures. They also produce many pharmaceutical products. Our formulation is intently and purposefully developed to be safe – which is why we are not, and have never been afraid to put them near our eyes, or even our children’s eyes. We travel to China often, and consider our factory to be members of our family. I don’t know if you have ever had the opportunity to do this yourself, but you might want to think about it before you make such an inflammatory and sweeping remark about a country that produces billions of tons of products for us each year, including the cell phone or laptop you used to make that remark. We looked at producing our products in the US, but quite frankly that was not an option. We’re extremely happy and satisfied with our manufacturing partner, and stand behind the quality and safety of our products.
    Sincerely,
    Jana Toohey
