True Drool August 2015 Box

True Drool, who kindly sent me this box to review, is a monthly subscription box for the dogs. It’s designed for the “over 40 crowd”, over 40 pounds that is! Boxes contain 4-7 toy/treat items for your large active breed dog to wag, wiggle and drool over.

The Box

True Drool ships via USPS around the 15th of the month.  If you order by the 5th of the month your box will ship that month.  If you order after the 5th, your box will ship the following month.

First Look

That was a fun first look!  I should mention that True Drool is for big dogs (which my dogs are not) so I tend to give everything in these boxes to my brother who does have big dogs.

The Information Card

The August 2015 True Drool box included the following items:

~TUFFY Pet Toys – Starfish ($13.88): This toy is tough!  I suspect it would take a lot of chewing to get through this one.  It’s heavy too and just feels like a sturdy toy.

~Groomie by Fou Fou Dog ($9.99): The groomie works to remove excess hair from your dogs.  You can use it on wet or dry fur and it also helps to stimulate the “Happy” in your dog and promotes blood flow.

~Clean Pet Wipes by Fou Fou Dog ($5): I am actually going to save these for my little dogs!  Sometimes you don’t need a full bath – you just need a wipe.  They smelled good (I can’t recall ever getting a good smelling dog wipe) and are nice to clean up paws with!

~Protect & Soothe Fou-Sticks by Fou Fou Dog ($10): These sticks are used on dogs paws and skin and are safe, even when licked off.  The protect is used to protect paws from heat stress while the soothe is to be used on itchy or irritated skin. These are also very handy to have around and I have used them on my dogs in the past.

~Shampoo & Ear Wipes by John Paul Pet (~$6): Eye and ear wipes might be the best dog invention ever.  Baxter and Buddy both have ear issues because of all the hair that they have in there and they both get eye stuff as well. These (and the shampoo) will come in very handy.

~Backcountry Natural Treat by Merrick ($10): These treats are all-natural and grain free and are made with protein rich beef plus sweet potato.  My brothers dogs are going to go crazy for them.  My dogs would just end up carrying them around the house, but my brothers dogs will eat them in seconds.

All totaled I came up with a value of $54.87 for the August 2015 True Drool.  The value on this one was great for a dog box and everything in it was high-quality and useful.  Between my dogs and my brothers dogs it will be used within a month (if not sooner).
