The pattern comes printed in full-color on durable glossy cardstock at a perfect size to stash in your knitting bag.
Yarn Crush boxes ship via USPS on or around the 15th day of each month.
I don’t knit, but I could appreciate how gorgeous this was right away!
The August 2015 Yarn Crush box included the following items:
~Merino Silk Lace Yarn from Sweet Georgia Yarns ($39): This is made from 50% fine merino wool and 50% cultivated silk. It’s hand dyed and is both gorgeous in person and in pictures.
~The Knitting Pattern ($5.99): The pattern this month is for Oroya which is an airy lace shawl with tiny beads around the edges to catch the light. As I mentioned I don’t knit (although just like with sewing I wouldn’t mind learning) so I am not sure of the difficulty level of this pattern.
~Seed Beads & Gauge Wire ($1.99): Each box also includes seed needs to match your yarn color and gauge wire to help you add the beads to your stitches.
~Row Counter Ring ($5.99): The box also included a row ring counter that you can wear around your finger and use to count your rows – even in dim lighting.
All totaled the August 2015 Yarn Crush box had a value of $52.97. If you are a knitter and are always looking for new patterns and yarns this might be a box for you to check out!

I crochet, wish I could knit tho, the shawl looks like it could be a wonderful gift. That yarn is lovely. Maybe I should add learning to knit to my todo list.
We’ll be adding crochet patterns starting with the October box!
I feel like yarn boxes lean too heavily toward lace weight yarn. Sure it’s gorgeous but, seriously, there is only so much knitting you can do with yarn the width of thread before you go absolutely nuts!!! This is a pretty box but I think I still love Yarn Box better 🙂
Hi Melissa,
Thanks for your comment! This was just our first month, and we thought a lace weight yarn would be perfect for summer knitting. As the months go on we will feature yarns of many different weights and include patterns for a variety of different projects that can be knit in a month or so.
That yarn… that pattern :’) Few things I love more than knitting lacework
Love, love, love!! Pls let me know if you want to trade, sell, barter, this box?
