Each month, you’ll get to choose from their limited-edition boxes filled with an array of products built around a central, unique theme. This month’s box options were “Kicks” (Canvas Lace-Up Sneakers by BucketFeet, Leather Shoelaces, 40″ by Line of Trade & No-Show Socks by Taft), “Distilled” (The Homemade Gin Kit by W&P Design – features 750ml bottle, fine stainless steel strainer, stainless steel funnel, pack of juniper berries and a blend of aromatic botanicals), Enamelware Tumbler Set, 12oz by W&P Design & Tonic Water, 10oz by Boylan Heritage), “Briefs” (Boxer Briefs, Set of 3 by Mack Weldon & Body Powder, 10g by Bálla) “Swagger” (six pairs of socks from Etiquette Clothiers) or “Weekender” (Special Edition Weekender Bag, 20″ length x 12″ high, 8″ opening from Bespoke Post Custom Series). If you see the selections and decide you aren’t interested you are totally free to skip that month (you can opt out during the first 5 days of the month) and you won’t be charged.  Or, you can do like we did this month and choose one of the boxes from a previous month which are still available.

As you can see, we opted for the “Distilled” box this month.  It included lots of breakables, but everything was packaged quite nicely.

The Information Cards
Instructions

“Distilled” featured everything (well except the booze) to make your own Gin, including The Homemade Gin Kit by W&P Design which features a 750ml bottle, a fine stainless steel strainer, a stainless steel funnel, a pack of juniper berries and a blend of aromatic botanicals), Enamelware Tumbler Set, 12oz by W&P Design & Tonic Water, 10oz by Boylan Heritage).  What I didn’t realize about making gin was that vodka was required.  LOL!  We had to pick up a bottle of generic “mid-shelf” vodka to start the process.

In Process

All of the instructions were included on how to make the gin and they were very clear and easy to follow.  I think it took 3 days in all?  Nothing extremely long.

The Final Product

I am not a fan of gin, but I did enjoy the experience of making it and seeing what all went into it.  B likes gin, so not only did he enjoy the process, he’s also happy to have his own bottle of homemade gin for the bar!
