GLOSSYBOX kindly sent me their September 2015 box to review early and I am so excited to share it! GLOSSYBOX is a monthly beauty subscription box and includes five luxury surprise beauty items shipped to your door. I have been a subscriber for years (in addition to getting review boxes I also pay for a subscription) and am always in awe at the value they pack into their boxes.
GLOSSYBOX ships via USPS and generally boxes ship in the second half of the month (as I mentioned I received this one early for review purposes). Sometimes it’s the last week of the month, sometimes it’s closer to the 20th of the month and sometimes it’s around the 10th. You just never know.
GLOSSYBOX has seriously the best packaging of any (?) subscription box out there. The boxes are sturdy and can easily be reused. All of the items come wrapped in tissue paper with a bow and ribbon. It’s just an amazing overall presentation.
I thought this was a great first look! I wasn’t familiar with a few of the brands I saw in here which always makes me happy.
The September 2015 GLOSSYBOX contained the following items:
~Coffea Coffee Scrub (3.5oz / 100g) ($8): OMG I love coffee scrubs and was so excited to see this in the box. It’s like bringing a cup of coffee with you in the shower. I love the smell and love that it’s made from all natural ingredients (including brown sugar, cocoa and cinnamon).
~Julep Luxe Up Your Lips (Sheer Coral) (.42oz / 12g) ($24): All subscribers this month will receive either this Julep Luxe Up Your Lips or Stiks Cosmetics Lipstix. At first I wanted the Stiks Lipstix because I have never tried anything from that brand, but this is really a better fit for me. Julep makes great nail polish and their lip glosses are pretty darn good too. It’s not sticky, gives off a nice touch of color and is very hydrating.
~Biossance The Revitalizer (0.05fl.oz / 4mL) ($4.64): “The Revitalizer” is a facial moisturizer that can also be used on your body and even your hair! I briefly tested it and thought it made my skin feel quite smooth. I also took the advice of the information card and tried it on my cuticles. I could totally tell a difference!
~Emite Artist Colour Powder Blush (#108) (10g / 0.35oz) ($22): I thought this was a bronzer, but it turns out it’s a blush. It’s described as a peach color and is fairly light for me in the summer, but I think it will be nice in the winter. This is another new brand for me which makes me happy.
~Nail, Inc. Uptown Nail Polish (10mL / 0.33fl.oz) ($9.83): I love Nails, Inc. polish and think it’s a great formula, but this color doesn’t do it for me. From the sounds of the information card I think everyone who gets Nails, Inc. polish will get this “dusty rose” color. I’ll add a glitter top coat and make it work for me.
~Bauble Bar Coupon Code: Boxes also include a 20% off Bauble Bar coupon code. It’s in the bottom of the outer box, so make sure you don’t toss it if you want to use it.
All totaled I came up with a value of $68.47 for the September 2015 GLOSSYBOX. I really enjoyed this month’s box and loved all of the new brands they included! I am so hoping that we get another GLOSSYBOX collaboration box soon. There hasn’t been one in a while and i feel like we are due!
What do you think of this month’s GLOSSYBOX so far? Just a reminder, GLOSSYBOX has been sending out variations in boxes the last few months so don’t be surprised if your box is a little different than this one. As of right now this September GLOSSYBOX is still available and new customers can use coupon code “MYFAIRLASHES” to get a free Velvet59 My Fair Lashes Mascara in their first GLOSSYBOX!
