~Good morning! Today is picture day at school and also pizza day, so that should be an interesting combo! I *think* they do pictures before lunch, so it hopefully it’s not to bad. B is doing some traveling this week and will be on the west coast for a few days and I’ve got the normal stuff going on. Our schools M2M Sale is SOON so I have lots to do for that. I know a few people asked what a Mom2Mom sale is and basically it’s a yard sale for moms. Churches or schools usually host them and moms can rent a table to sell their old baby / kids clothes and things. I’m the Chair so I have to sell the tables to the moms, deal with the contracts coming in, collect money, advertise the sale, assign tables, get donations for food items, secure volunteers, talk to vendors, etc.
~Did you watch the Emmy Awards? I found them to be quite boring. I think the best part was that they actually ended on time. I do give them props for that.
~In more exciting news, I have found and tried the Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Cheek Flush! They are very sheer, but I think that’s to be expected with baby skin products. They also seem to be a little oily which I didn’t overly love. But I liked them well amount with BB Cream these and them a little powder on top. I don’t think I would buy these again though. Well at least not until Spring or Summer. They seem like more of a summertime item to me.
~This week should be a somewhat calm for subscription boxes. Well, calmer than last week anyway. I am expecting FabFitFun, Loot Crate, bluum (well maybe), For the Faithful, Birchbox Man, bocandy, Phone Case of the Month, Kiwi Crate, Koala Crate, Doodle Crate, Posh Mom Box and Super Gains Pack.
~Speaking of bluum, I was all excited last month when I saw that they were doing full box customizations, but when I logged into my account yesterday it just asked me some questions about preferences and didn’t allow me to select actual items. I will try again in a few days and see if anything changes.
~Don’t forget that TODAY is the last day to enter my September giveaway! I used the blanket from the giveaway (well not the actual one you’d get if you won – I have my own) on Saturday night and love it. So does Baxter. It’s very cozy!
