POPSUGAR Must Have Fall 2015 Special Edition Box

POPSUGAR Must Have Box is an exciting monthly box full of fun, must-have picks across fashion, beauty, home decor, fitness, and more, which is delivered to your door on a monthly basis. Boxes include full-size products and premium items including tried-and-true classics, celebrity favorites, and brands consumers have yet to discover worth over $100!  On occasion, they also offer Special Edition one-time purchase boxes which are separate from the monthly subscription. This review is on the POPSUGAR Special Edition Must Have Fall Box which sold for $100.  It went on sale on August 20th and sold-out in about two days.

The Box

POPSUGAR Must Have Box ships via FedEx Smart Post and, on average, takes a week to arrive. The Special Edition boxes tend to ship from California, so if you live on the West Coast, you would likely receive it in less time. I believe the box was originally scheduled to ship in mid-September, but they sent them out sooner – likely because the boxes sold out so quickly.

POPSUGAR does an amazing job packaging their Special Edition boxes.  Not only are the boxes themselves fancy (they come packaged in a plain brown box for shipping and then have the sleek black POPSUGAR box on the inside), everything inside is neatly arranged and wrapped. If you were giving one of these as a gift, you could easily give it “as is”.

The Fall 2015 Special Edition POPSUGAR Must Have Box contained the following fashion, beauty and home items to help you stand out and make an effortless transition into the new season ahead:

~Deepa Gurnani Aria Necklace ($90): I would actually consider this to be more of a winter box item, but I suppose having it early to help you plan those holiday party outfits never hurt anyone.  It was handcrafted in India and I think it’s a stunning piece.  I don’t know how often I will end up wearing it, but I will certainly try my hardest.  I also love that it came with a pouch to store it in. The pouch itself is gorgeous!

~BECCA Cosmetics Ombre Rouge Eye Palette ($40): With all the subscription boxes I receive I don’t know if I will ever ‘need’ another eyeshadow, but the colors in here are amazing.  I feel like POPSUGAR does a good job of selecting colors that work for most everyone and this palette will do that.

~Smith & Cult Nail Polish (No Poem) ($18): I feel like this is another holiday type item. The grey makes me think of winter, not fall.  Still you know what I think about nail polish so obviously I love it.  I wouldn’t have ever purchased this on my own, but it’s the next color going on my nails.  I did a brief test and love the formula (and think the bottle is the coolest nail polish bottle design ever), but the brush felt kind of awkward in my hand.  It’s very heavy.  Maybe it just takes some getting used to?

~Canvas Home Dauville Coasters (Platinum) ($46): Love these. They are very well made, classic and just gorgeous. These will look amazing in my Pinterest living room (i.e. the living room I want to have one day) and will also look pretty good in my office. They are hand-painted and handmade out of porcelain which makes them even cooler.

~Swing Design Aura Lacquer Aquamarine Valet Tray ($54): Obsessed.  I have been trying to figure out how to store my watches and KEEP bracelets and this is basically the ideal solution.  The aquamarine color and pattern on the inside makes this my favorite item in the box.  It’s just a fantastic piece with such an unexpected pop of color.  We received a beautiful storage container from Swing Design in the Neiman Marcus POPSUGAR Must Have Box and I am now wanting more of their beautiful pieces.

~Tatcha Classic Rice Enzyme Powder (60g / 2.1oz) ($65): Who doesn’t love this? I first tried it in a MSA Quarterly Box and thought it was amazing.  It’s pricey, but the container is huge so it basically lasts forever. You just mix the powder with water (I am guessing you can mix it with other things like yogurt or honey too) and use it to wash your face.   It works to exfoliate and cleanse skin and leaves it clean, but not dry.

All totaled the POPSUGAR Special Edition Must Have Fall Box had a value of $313 which was over 3x the cost of the box.  Obviously that’s amazing!  I do agree with commenters who said that this was more of a Winter / Holiday box than a Fall box, but I am okay with that because I did very much enjoy the contents of this one.  The tray is my favorite, but the TATCHA and the coasters are right up there too!

Did you get a POPSUGAR Special Edition Must Have Fall Box? What’d you think? As I mentioned, this box is now sold out, but I am giving one away so go enter!  Also, if you want to snag a monthly subscription you can use coupon code “MUSTHAVE5” to save $5 off your first box.  If you want to try to get on the Waitlist to get the September box (you can see full spoilers on it here) just make sure you leave the “Waitlist” box checked when you are checking out.  If they determine they have extra September boxes your subscription will begin with the September box, otherwise it will start in October!
