~Good morning! This week has mainly been full of getting prepared for Back To School. We had L’s and WB’s Open Houses / Meet the Teachers and I am pretty darn excited about their classes. L’s class has lots of familiar faces from 1st grade and some of my favorite moms have kids in there!  WB’s seemed to really like his classroom and took right to playing with a bunch of kids.  We’ll see how he does next week when I am not there though ;).  L got to visit with a bunch of wild animals and hang out with his favorite cousin.  It’s been a good week for everyone.

This Week!
This Week!

~I don’t have too many more subscription boxes coming this week which is probably about right because of the upcoming holiday.  I am still expecting August’s Hammock Pack (I don’t even know if it’s started moving yet), Julep, the POPSUGAR Fall Limited Edition box, The Fall Rachel Zoe Box of Style (that probably won’t arrive until next week though) and really, that might be it for this week. I still have some August boxes to get reviews finished on, so things won’t be boring around here.

~I have been busy updating the Spoilers Tab to reflect all the September Subscription Box Spoilers we know about so far, so if you are curious, go check it out.  If there is nothing next to the box name it’s because we don’t know the theme or any spoilers yet, but we should find some out soon.  If you know if any that I have missed, please share!

~If you aren’t on the thredup! train yet, you need to be.  People have had mixed results sending in bags of clothing to them (you can read about my experience here), but I buy from them all the time for the boys.  I usually gravitate towards brands like Crewcuts, abercrombie, Ralph Lauren, etc. because I feel like those deals are the best (and I do not want to pay full-price for that).  I can score some amazing deals on GAP in-store clearance sales so I don’t usually shop for GAP on thredup!  The stuff is used, but is generally in amazing condition.  The website does a good job of letting you know what the issues (if any) are with the items and they always have coupons.  If you are a new customer you can use my link to get $20 off your first purchase (I also get a $20 credit if you use it) or if you are placing a larger order you can use coupon code “40NP” to save 40% off your entire order (for a savings of up to $50).  The mobile app has coupon codes of 10% or 15% just about daily and they work for returning customers, so it’s totally worth getting the app!  So yeah, I love them.

~Did you see this Buzzfeed article on “How Much of a 90’s Kid Were You“?  I was probably more of an 80’s kid, but I did pretty amazing on this test.  There were a few things I didn’t recognize though.  What were Hit Clips? And “Floor Scooters”?  Nope.  But the clear phone, the caboodles, gel pens (those are still cool by the way) and AOL Instant Messenger?  Yeah, that was all great stuff!

That’s all from here! I hope you are having a fantastic day. Don’t forget to link-up your own Thursday Thoughts post below!

I am clearly not a 90s kid (I think I am maybe a few years older than you are?). I remember a lot of those things, but I remember them because I spent a lot of time with one of my younger brothers. I was in college from 1996-2000 so mostly that list just made me feel old.

I did have a lot of Koosh balls and an old-style Gameboy, though. But I was already almost a teenager at the time.

No, I think I am a year older than you because I was in college from 1995 – 1999….

I was born in 1977. I was one of the oldest kids in my kindergarten class though. My fiance was also born in 1977 and he started college a year before I did (didn’t skip grades, it was just the way things worked out, growing up in different states with different cutoff dates for school). At any rate, we are pretty close in age, I guess I didn’t realize that before.

My little brother had SO MANY POGS. He had a duffel bag full of those things. But I don’t think I ever saw him playing the game you were supposed to play with them. Maybe once or twice?

I was born in 1977 too! How did you get a cool name and I got “Jennifer”???

Thred UP surprised me by what they accepted and what sold first.
I didn’t really care about the payout because my attitude was that the items would be donated anyway but next time I’m going to take a photo so I remember what they didn’t keep.

My kids started already school, the boy since it is 4th grade it was easy, but for the girl she started Pre K and this is her first time in a school or without mom, she is super shy so it has been a little hard for her and hard for me because it feels awful to see her sad, I hope she get used soon, her teachers are amazing and the kids have been very good with her.
About thred Up I am still not sure, I usually take the kids clothes and shoes to once upon a child and kid to kid, and usually they pay ok (more in once upon a child), I usually do not buy clothes because I get their clothes in a very good prices during sales (most of their clothes come from gap), but I had found very good deals in the stores too, like a pretty hammock for my girl (it was really cheap) or the costumes for halloween or de boots for rodeo 🙂

I was a 90’s mom bought so many of the items for the kidlets – I think there are Pokemon and pogs still in our Junk I mean toy room.

I’m for sure (like totally, for sure, I just got a manicure..) a 90’s kid. Hit clips were pretty much the precursor to mp3 players. Floor scooters were awesome, though nobody really ever owned one. They were from PE class, haha. My brother got me a Tamogotchi for my birthday a few years ago- I’ve turned his eldest daughter onto Goosebumps, I think she’s been a fan since first grade now. The younger one, and 2 of my sisters kids, likes the tv show. I’m 99% sure I’ll be taking some combination of them to see the new Goosebumps movie next month (Jack Black as R.L. Stine!!!)

I’m stuck in the 90’s, actually. I nostalgia so hard. I went to Toys R Us last night and they had some awesome Lisa Frank makeup kits but they had fake nails and my nail beds are too long. 🙁 Otherwise I’d have bought them! I buy pretty much everything LF when I see it at Target or the dollar store.

I still have a caboole, though I bought it like 10 years ago. I still have a ton of pogs, including a “tournament set” haha. And Bill Nye’s instagram is my favorite. Target came out with some Troll pajamas and underwear and my sister bought me one and I bought the rest.
