bluum October 2015 Subscription Box

bluum, is a monthly box of goodies for moms and babies.  Products are hand selected based on your child’s age (from pregnancy to preschool), gender and developmental stage.  I have gotten bluum for years and while the boxes have had their ups and downs I have generally been pretty pleased with them and have stuck with my subscription.

The Box

bluum ships via FedEx Smart Post and generally takes about a week to arrive.  I typically plan on receiving it during the second half of the month.

This was the second month that bluum allowed subscribers to customize their entire box. You don’t have to, but the option is there if you want to. I customized mine and I plan to as long as they allow it.

The Card

The card included in the bluum box doesn’t include product information. Rather, that information is sent to you in an e-mail on the day that you receive your box and it appears in your account online as well.  Since I selected my items I knew what was coming in our October bluum.

~The Cloud ($7.99): Super cute book.  I am not sure that WB really gets about having a “bad” day yet, but L does.  And he gets when his friends are having a rough day as well.  Hopefully this helps to remind him to always be kind and supportive to his friends.

~Peaceable Kingdom Go Fish! Card Game ($6.99): We have a TON of games (Clue is still our current favorite), but believe it or not, we don’t have Go Fish!  How is that even possible?  I figured it would be a game we could all play and enjoy – even WB.

~mudpuppy Play Scene – Trainyard ($10.99): I thought this would be more….I don’t know, more something.  It’s basically a fold out piece of cardboard with two sticker sheets. The stickers are vinyl so they are reusable and WB wanted to play with it right away so it ended up being a good fit for us, but I was surprised when I saw it in person.

~Alex Neon Pastels – 6 Count ($7.99): I selected these because we have nothing like them at home. I thought they’d be fun for the boys to use this winter on the easel.

All totaled I came up with a value of $33.96 for the October 2015 bluum box.  I selected the items so I pretty much knew what the value was going to be.  I am happy with this one and am looking forward to picking my November box!
