Citrus Lane October 2015 Subscription Box (3 Year-Old Boy)

Citrus Lane is a monthly subscription box for children from 0 to 5 years old which contains four or more products selected especially for the age and stage of your child. It’s $29/month, but the price decreases to $24.95 with a 6-month subscription.  I receive a box for WB (boy) who is 3 and a box for a 5 year-old boy as well. Both my 3 and 5 year-old boy boxes were the same this month.

The Box

Citrus Lane ships via FedEx Smart Post and takes about a week to arrive.  They ship on (or slightly before) the 15th of the month and I generally expect to receive my box by the 20th of the month.

First Look

WB and I were both pretty excited by the first look this month!

The Information Card

The October 2015 Citrus Lane box included the following items to help your little ones adventure with:

~Power Mask from Little Adventures ($2.99): Who doesn’t want to be a superhero and wear a mask?  This is reversible so you can be two superheroes in one.  One with a red mask and one with a blue mask.

~Stencils from Mudpuppy ($14.24): These are adorable!  The set includes “a band of scurvy pirates, skull and crossbones, a sailing ship, and much more”.  WB is working on tracing, writing his letters, etc. and these will be a great tool.

~Vehicle from Automoblox (~$12): Ahh, this is so cool!  At first I just thought it was a wooden car, but then WB and I opened it up and started playing with it and realized it comes apart.  So you can build it and rebuild it as many times as you want.  WB has been taking off the wheels and pretending it’s an airplane too.

~Basil Dish Soap from Mrs Meyers (2fl.oz) (~$1): Dish soap is never overly exciting to receive, but it’s always useful.  Always. And this smells pretty good too!

~Subscriber Perk from GrooveBook ($5.98): The box also includes a coupon code for a two-month trial to Groovebook.  Groovebook is an app that turns pictures from your phone into books and mails them right to your door each month. It’s only $2.99/month and depending on the quality of the books I am probably going to stick with this.  I think it’s a great idea (the pictures even rip out) and will be an easy way to get pictures printed monthly.

All totaled I came up with a value of $36.21 for the October 2015 Citrus Lane box.  I was generally pleased with this box.  It had new to us items and everything in here will be used and played with which is key!

I hope you give Groovebook a try! I have been getting books from them for over a year and I love them. They were bought out by Shutterfly last year and I can tell you that the print quality has definitely gone up since they were bought out. At $2.99 it’s such a steal. I’d never get photos printer otherwise 🙂
